Right now SFGRADV,SFGRAM & SFMM are the only SF parks that ever get coasters anymore.....
Only two SF parks received new coasters this year: SFGAdv and SFNE. Not SFGAm. Not SFMM. Nice try, Batwing.
A day at the park is what you make it!

Colin, Adding three, even four, coasters in one year has been done before. As mentioned above SFA did indeed get three coasters in a single year, but they got rid of two coasters at the same time. So in all actuality they had a net increase of only one coaster.
Well, thats what I was going along the lines with.
Other than that, I'd wait till the next conference call to really start saying that SFA will build ANYTHING next year. If attendance and revenue are down, the chances of seeing much in 2006 are pretty low, on the other hand, if attendance and revenue are up overall... well, then the possibilities are a bit more promising...
If you can't stand the heights, get out of the line.
I highly doubt that everyone who worked at SFOG when I did participated in the 95 survey for the future attraction which ended up being Batman the Ride. At that time my title was Lead in charge (I know it sounds dorky) and I was like the lead operator for the Ninja and Scream machine. During the 97 season I was one of the individuals chosen to work at the Batman Coaster.
I'm pretty sure this type of act still happens, it's probably a little more confidential, in the fact that the people chosen are the ones that have been there for more than one season. *** Edited 8/2/2005 9:24:49 PM UTC by Magicmike***
Funniest post of the week! Get back to us when you truly understand how an amusement park is operated, OK ;)

"SFA probably wouldn't want to upstage KK this early anyway considering it just opened. Until some other park, most likely Cedar Point builds something that takes the records from KK, then they are less likely to do something in the 500 foot range. Just doesn't make sense."Funniest post of the week! Get back to us when you truly understand how an amusement park is operated, OK
Mr. I was born in 1965 and run my own company, (whew) how does this qoute of mine indicate that I know little of finances. I'm simply saying that for a Six Flags park in general, how could an investment on another coaster on a much larger scale and without a doubt carry a hefty price tag suit Six Flags. Finance wise it makes absolutely no sense until they can get Kinda Ka running well and have the attendance to warrant such a coaster. And lastly It doesn't make sense with all of the promotion and hype for Kingda Ka (also included in the finances) to have another coaster, let alone one that's close by, surpase it. Now with your, I own my own company non-sense, you above all should be able to see that. By me working there for a couple of years has absolutely nothing to do with what I posted.
Sorry Partner!

When SFMM built the X, Deja-vu, and Goliath jr all in the same year, we had a huge jump in attendance.
A sustained increase in attendance or a lil' jumpy-jump followed by a big drop?
See why they won't do it again? Among other things, they can COUNT.

NOTE: Severe fecal impaction may render the above words highly debatable.
