'gator, that's sorta what I was getting at. If they need to replace motors, parts, etc. what better time than during a complete move? Besides, from what I hear, guests at SFGAdv never saw the thing run anyway, so they won't miss it. I'm a huge flat ride nut and would love nothing more than this to be the case. I've wanted to ride an "Evolution" since I first saw one - way back in the day when Vekoma had one available (1991, was it?). I've only seen the Preston version operate on video, which is a tad smaller than what Vekoma had available at the time. Anyone know who the SFGAdv version was credited with? Natua Bussik? (sp??)

For Season passes, try Schnucks... but I think they are all about the same price. Just check around. Remember to get Parking included, it's only about 8 bucks for the whole season. It's the best deal regarding season passes.
I'm sure they will have some sort of announcement with the local media. They gotta spread the word somehow, even though it is not a major attraction like a coaster.

I know Vekoma advertised them when Inside Track changed formats, which was November of 1992.

Actually, I believe that the version sold by the company called Preston Amusements out of Texas was actually the Fabbri version (about 6 or 7 of which travel the U.S.). The Vekoma one was roughly the same size as Bussink's (and I don't think they ever built any). The Fabbri version racks up on about 2 or 3 trailers, much smaller than the other one. Bussink did the Great Adventure one, it was one of three they built. The amazing thing was that this was a portable version, I believe it racked onto about 6 or 8 trucks in Europe (but probably could not be road legal in the U.S.).
In regards to the problems, what I have heard and has been confirmed by the builders was that while the ride operated flawlessly traveling Germany it encountered problems when it was put in a park in Italy. Apparently they called in Vekoma, who worked with a German showman to fix it. This was only a partial fix and SFGAdv bought the ride from Vekoma, who brokered the sale. According to the manufacturer, to this date they still have not been contacted by SF to work on the ride. I fear that unless they are contacted or someone with a working knowledge of the ride is called in the ride would sit at SFStL, or whereever it goes, as a lawn ornament.

Shouldn't the Season Pass Renewals be going out around the end of January.. I believe the Park opens the first part of April.. Maybe something will be in the packets to help sell the season passes this year. Hopefully it is a ride that will blow our socks off.
Angnjc while you were there was you able to look at any of the parts that is in the parking lot. Could you see if there was any clues as to what it may be. Let us know

If somebody has a picture of the Evolution at SFGAdv., I would like to see it. I have seen a picture before, but don't remember where(I want to see the color of that ride).
The Great Escape and the Palace Arcade were the two arcades in the park. Palace Arcade was basically taken away with the Fast Lane sales. Also at the end of the year the Axis Arcade was the name of the games right next to Joker Inc., so the games from the Great Escape are likely being moved over there.
I guess Excalibur fits in the Britania section of the park, we should soon find out what the mystery ride is.
