Screamscape: PKD FOF Not Reopening?

I wouldn't count on ANY new coasters at those parks (with the exception of the one being built) until the parks have new ownership.
I just checked out the Kings Dominion website, and Avalanche is still listed as an attraction. It is under family rides. Whew! That is a great ride..

lol, reminds me when I thought Knoebels got rid of Fandango, next time I think a rides gone, check the family rides section lol (althought I still dont understand why they put it there). I wonder if they will have to remove their claim of "the only bobsled style ride of its kind in North America!" after Flying Turns opens. *** Edited 2/6/2006 9:57:43 PM UTC by P18***

^Well, it will still be the only bobsled ride of its type. There are no other Mack Bobsleds in North America, but there are two Intamins--Disaster Transport at CP and La Vibora at SFOT.
Avalanche was missing for a few days. It's since been added back.

A day at the park is what you make it!

There's a third Intamin bobsled coaster (Alpine Bobsled) at Great Escape. This was the one that used to be Rolling Thunder at SFGAm.
Thankfully they're keeping it as avalanche is a great ride for it's type although the darn thing breaks down every time I go near it.

Note to self - remember not to allow BATWING FAN SFA near M:TR ;)

Great Escape's sled has that awful seating configuration though...

There's just not enough love for the bobsleds....well, at SFoT there is. Even in a park *loaded* with great rides, Vibora had a considerable line all the time...

How come every thread is reminding me of SFoT lately? :)

Overall, I'd have them take FoF off the board rather than Avalanche - starting to wonder if they're deciding to relocate it (PCar and PGA are lacking in launches)...if the guests don't complain, then they'll decide to move it. Meh, it's a theory...

You wouldn't see me shedding any tears.

Talk about uncomfortable. I'm not a big fan of riding with a seat horn jammed in my taint, but hey - that's just me.
