We haven't heard anything yet, not at least from the Puyallup fair. If you like, feel free to contact them. Perhaps the more they feel there is interest, the quicker they will be motivated to answer us and/or provide the necessary steps? www.thefair.com

Just contact them at that site, or at least try.

I just e-mailed the Puyallup Fair, letting them know that we are still interested. I will post their reply here when I get one.

Ronald, thank you so much for looking into this. Hopefully something cool and interesting will come of it.

Yes, indeedy! I think many of you will be excited to learn of the possibilities with Coaster at PNE/Playland as well. Ron, won't you expound on this? I am sure Chris is dying to learn more???:)

I am looking into the possibility of scheduling this event in conjunction with the ACE appreciation event at the PNE and CAC at Silverwood. I would like to schedule this at a time when as many people as possible would be able to attend. I know a lot of people who are not able to attend September Puyallup Fair because of school commitments. I remember reading on Ridemans' site about his trip to the Pacific Northwest and all he could do is take photos of the Puyallup Fair coasters and drool.:( He works at a university and could not attend the the fair. Rideman, this may be your chance! I will also make sure to request that the 'Ole Yeller" train is in service. This is the only operating Prior & Church train in existence today.

You guys ROCK....we really appreciate all the help in setting all this up, and "preaching the gospel" to the masses. Chris has become such an apostle that he's out converting others for you, lol....can't wait! Let's get a good turnout...

edit: Robocoaster, not sure about the cost to rent M:TR, but now, with paypal, at least it's *convenient*...;)

www.tripowered.com - The future of music.

The Puyallup Fair e-mailed me yesterday and asked me what time of day and what day of the week we would like to do this. Any feedback on this would be welcome. I am thinking 6-10 pm so we can get in some night rides on Coaster Thrill Ride. Let me know and spread the word to your fellow coaster enthusiasts. Remember, the more people ,the less expensive it will be per person. One of my co-workers at Fred Meyer and my union rep have shown an interest.

Thank you

Sorry I'm late...consider me "very interested."

I've wanted to ride since I was knee-high to an upstop wheel.

Heck, dude! Aren't you still knee-high to the darn Giant Dipper?;) How have you been? Join in the fun! Let's make this rental work for us! It could be really special...:)

Agreed Brent, and I've been pushing for that for the third consecutive SRM now....but I'll leave that for the pre-SRM planning (hoping for SRM since not ALL of us live in the Midwest, lol).

But as for the Fair, 6-10 or 7-11 would be great...to paraphrase, the more the WILDER...:). Is there enough smoked salmon in the Northwest to fill a gator, we may need to limit the bears' intake this Spring...;)

An evening would definitely be great if it could be managed.

Hmmm, why do I see a CoasterBuzz group descending on Pioneer Square? ;)

No upstop wheels on Coaster Thrill Ride, this one runs with flanged wheel Prior & Church trains with upstop plates!Just like the PNE Coaster.

Nasai, have you mentioned this to Chris Meisen? Is he interested? We need everyone we can get to make this work!

We all need to figure out when we're going to do this, and what everyone is thinking in terms of traveling that weekend.

I have these goals for the weekend of CAC (aug 22-25):

Silverwood

SFEV

PNE

Fun Forest

This is probably what I'm going to do:

Friday - Arrive in Seattle, hit the Windstorm, drive to Idaho.

Saturday - Silverwood/CAC

Sunday - Drive back to Seattle early, hit SFEV.

Monday - Playland/PNE, dinner and hanging out in Vancouver.

Tuesday - Early am flight home.

Doing SFEV and Puyallup in the same day makes the most sense to me, as they're pretty close together.

Anyone else have any thoughts?

Perhaps the evening of 8/24? That should give us enough time to rest up after CAC and make the drive to WA. No matter when it is around CAC, I'm definitely in!

No upstop wheels on Coaster Thrill Ride

I knew that...my fingers slipped...just like the coaster train that caused the inspiration for the flange plates. ;)
