To get back on topic,Puyallup fair e-mailed me back and said that it would be cheaper to rent Coaster TR if we did this Sept.2 or 3rd. They could do it on Aug.24 ,but it will cost more then. Let me know what you guys think about this. They still haven't quoted me a price yet. I think we should go for the Aug.24th date so that more people can attend. Hopefully,this will offset the extra cost.

Ron, I'm a late-starter for this thread, but I am definitely in. I don't care when, or how much, I will be there. It'll be great to get back in that area again. After my week there this year, I definitely love and miss it. Count me in!

Ron - I doubt you'll get only locals if you rent it on the 2nd. I'd be willing to bet anyone who travels for CAC is only going to stay for a long weekend.

What puzzles me is why they won't quote you a price?

What day is CAC again? The main concern I see is the coordination with the other event. I live here, so anytime is okay with me.... but we all need to hit PNE/Playland as soon as possible during this timeframe.. I want to see the expressions on some of your faces... Especially Bill, and Corey.;)

Rob - CAC is Sat, Aug 23rd. PNE is in full swing at that time, so its not necessary to make it to Vancouver on a weekend.

----------------- They told me they should have a price figured out by this coming Tuesday.It seems that there are lot of variables in the rental price depending on the the time of year that the coaster is rented. Basically,they told me the closer to the fair this is done,the lower the cost because of the necessary work to prepare the coaster for operation. I still think we should stick to doing this on the 24th of August so we can get maximum participation with so many of you that will already be in the Pacific Northwest for CAC.This I hope will offset any extra cost for doing this.I will will keep you posted when I learn more.

Ron, a sincere thanks for all the work you've done on this!:) Either weekend will do, as I will take vacation time for this. Late August is when works slows down for a while, until October, so it's all gooood.......

You will have a problem there, Bill. PNE isn't exactly flat ride heaven, although they do have an S&S tower, and some cool little tricks up their sleeve. I don't recall a carousel anywhere.... Do they have one, Ron? I wouldn't know, as I spend my day on Coaster, or the tower.;)
