Anyone else out there interested in getting a chance to ride this rare coaster? This is a John Miller woodie running with the only operating set of Prior & Church trains.
Again, the more people that we can get,the lower the cost per person.I still have not heard back from The Puyallup Fair people with a quote.I will post it here when I do.

I can fix anything.....where is the duct tape?
pcr - Coaster: Thrill Ride is at the Puyallup Fair, and Coaster is at Playland in Vancouver.
Coaster: Thrill Ride is only open a few weeks a year, and Coaster is in danger.

Same here, Jayme (is that how you spell it?). Absolutely.... Are you wearing the E shirt??? ;)
Chris, I haven't heard anything, but I was reiterating the fact that although many different sources have stated Coaster will remain, many other sources have stated that indeed the PNE/Playland is moving, and being torn down. They have no proven home to move to, and the reality of Coaster surviving a move is really low. If you weren't into coasters, would you care about an "old, wooden claptrap?" C'mon, the thing looks like death warmed over (and it is, in all the best senses;)), but you know what I mean. The GP doesn't care. It will be replaced (if at all) with a modern "steel contraption." :(
Rob-who cares deeply

Agreed, Rob.....if PNE pulls up stakes, Coaster in all likelihood will be no more...:(. That's what prompted the whole CAC '03 expedition. (Of course, Whizzer was the reason for the "Coasting the Northern Midwest '02 trip", and then Whizzer decides to stay put....so there you have it).
But, IF Coaster is forced to relocate, and there's a park up there *somewhere* that can accommodate it, I want to be the GM of THAT park...;)

It was great to meet another coaster enthusiast living in the Portland area,Jayme. There are so few of us around here, kind of like our coaster population. It is too bad more people did not show up for Ethyl show at Ash Street Saloon.I know it was dissapointing for Rob to drive all the way down from Seattle for such a small group. For you Coasterbuzzers living in the Portland area that did not show, shame on you!(unless you had a good reason for not showing up)
Jayme, perhap you can join Rob and I when we go to the PNE next year. You haven't experienced anything until you have experienced the "ejector seat"on Coaster!;)Also are you "in"on renting the Puyallup fair C:TR if the cost is not too much?

I hear M:TR is a great terrain woodie. Is this true?
Does EVERYTHING that just "lays" in the grass qualify as "terrain"...;)

Boy Jayme, I can tell you work late nights. Posting at 3:43? Ugh!
If we can get this ride rented, I will be thrilled to see you joining us, as I think C:TR is exactly your speed. Not too much of anything.... but, incredibly, just right.:)
Shy One, M:TR is a thrill ride with soft cushy seats, amazing air in the rear, and a really low profile;)

Jayme said it best............
I often post from those "odd hours" Rob, but I'm just an East-coast night-owl...and sometimes I'm a *hoot*.... We need to get a decent-sized crowd for CAC and the fair, the more the merrier...(and we can get it down to a "reasonable" price, too).
edit: Jayme, good to have you on-board...hoping we can connive, convince, scheme, or even beg ONE ride on the other fairground coasters...gotta hope!
bill, just happy that Rob answered Shy One first....I just didn't know what to say....M:TR may just be coming back from the "mothballs" after all...and I thought Screechin' Eagle sat idle too long...
