Where did you find the hacked drivers for your card? I'm getting crappy rates with my ATI card.

i was running at 1600x1200 for a laugh and got about 20frames a second at any given point (between 18 and 22) which is cool for running the game imo. although i did turn reflective water off

Now I'll have the latest graphics card on my christmass list, mine runs slowly, but I have a 1.8ghz computer. Must need more RAM.
What exactly is your problem, i had some, maybe i can help!
-Dell P4 2.8 GHz
-80GB ATA Ultra Hard Drive
-512MB Dual Channel DDR SDRAM
-128MB DDR NVIDIA GeForce FX 5200 Graphics Card
One question though. I went into the Options.txt, and the SkipBannerSequence was already set at 0. However, I still get the long annoying banner intro (Atari, Atari copyright, Frontier games, ATI, Atari, Atari, yadda yadda). Any suggestions?
Memory and hard drives are not going to fix any of your problems. The key issues are the CPU, the video card and updated drivers. If you have an ATI card giving you crap, ATI posted a driver fix today.
Anyway... If you want a sandbox, rename demo.dat to something else and copy one of the tutorials into the program's root directory and rename it demo.dat. Also, if you want to play longer, apparently it's as easy as starting the game, then pushing your system clock back a day.

Gonch, I'll try setting the SkipBannerSequence to 1 when I get home from work. Thanks. *** Edited 9/28/2004 5:16:19 PM UTC by Danimales***

Where can I find the information about my graphics card and RAM? And what is RAM anyway?
RAM stands for Random Access Memory. It's like the workspace to put running applications on.
Sorry for deleting my post, I thought my first one was never posted so I kinda repeated myself, but then I found my old one. Anyway, what can I do about this? And where can you turn off growing grass and water reflection? *** Edited 9/28/2004 5:40:40 PM UTC by Bakeman***
We followed directions for sandbox mode, but are unable to build anything. can see all the pretty land, but the game will not let us place anything.
Any suggestions would be appreciated
Just a couple of G-Force junkies!
I tried setting my clock back a day, or even an hour (ahead or behind)... and as soon as you mess with the computer clock while the game is in progress, it'll automatically kick you back to the title screen, as if it knows you messed with something!
I'll give anyone a cookie to those who can figure it out first! I'm still messing around, but haven't found it as of yet (or unlimited cash).
