One question though. I went into the Options.txt, and the SkipBannerSequence was already set at 0. However, I still get the long annoying banner intro (Atari, Atari copyright, Frontier games, ATI, Atari, Atari, yadda yadda). Any suggestions?
Memory and hard drives are not going to fix any of your problems. The key issues are the CPU, the video card and updated drivers. If you have an ATI card giving you crap, ATI posted a driver fix today.
Anyway... If you want a sandbox, rename demo.dat to something else and copy one of the tutorials into the program's root directory and rename it demo.dat. Also, if you want to play longer, apparently it's as easy as starting the game, then pushing your system clock back a day.

Gonch, I'll try setting the SkipBannerSequence to 1 when I get home from work. Thanks. *** Edited 9/28/2004 5:16:19 PM UTC by Danimales***
Sorry for deleting my post, I thought my first one was never posted so I kinda repeated myself, but then I found my old one. Anyway, what can I do about this? And where can you turn off growing grass and water reflection? *** Edited 9/28/2004 5:40:40 PM UTC by Bakeman***
I tried setting my clock back a day, or even an hour (ahead or behind)... and as soon as you mess with the computer clock while the game is in progress, it'll automatically kick you back to the title screen, as if it knows you messed with something!
I'll give anyone a cookie to those who can figure it out first! I'm still messing around, but haven't found it as of yet (or unlimited cash).
