Progress Reports and Accomplishments

Who are you? I know Pat and I know three Steves who play in Columbus.

I live up in Canton. I met most of them either through ohioddr.com or they come up for tournaments like PPX most of them where there.

OK, monthly update. I now have 174 arcade AA's. Some of the better ones I've gotten in the last month:

So, including all Oni steps and everything, I have 85 more songs to AA on Extreme. (whew) Two-thirds of the way there!

AAA #1-Kick the Can (Maniac)

Did it on a fifth mix, which by the way is IMO more fun than Extreme.

Nice on the AAA - that's something I've never done yet (unless you count light songs on home versions).

Fifth is great, but one problem: NO SPEED MODS. Ugh. Great music though - Lupin' the 3rd, Enter the Dragon, Radical Faith, B4U Glorious Style, Wonda, etc.

My local arcade got rid of its 5th mix when it got ITG. I miss it. :( But I'd still rather have an Extreme.

AAA #2-Look To The Sky(True Color Mix)(Heavy)

Never Black flagged it, but got two 4 times, and finally today a AAA.

Update! I now have 192 arcade AA's, including notables:

That leaves me with only three 7-footers on Extreme left to AA: D2R, Hyper Eurobeat and Long Train Runnin'. And 19 8-footers. :(

Hey PDoM, did I tell you I was in Chattanooga a couple of weeks ago? Stayed at the Sheraton downtown, didn't leave it though, because it was rainy all night and Kid Rock was playing on the riverwalk, so we didn't want to get caught in that. Nice hotel though!

Nope, you didn't tell me, but that was the first night of Riverbend and all the parents were hoping for a "clean" show. :)

You have clearly bypassed any skill I have. I still can't beat Paranoia Survivor, and I've still only beat Maxx Unlimited once, and Max 300 rarely.

It would probably help if I went to the arcade more than once a month.

I did, however, get around to passing my first 10-footer on ITG. It was Kagami, and I ended up with 78%. Whoopty-crap.

You beat my score on PSMO though, pinkdoom. :) Lately i've just been playing a lot of ITG/2 trying to get better at that, but i did play So Deep on Friday and i walked away with 14 greats. So that's an improvement. :)

Oh, and speaking of ITG2, NASHVILLE GOT IT! AND I PLAYED IT.

LOL. I can play DDR for hours, but I'm wiped after like 45 minutes of ITG.

On the other hand, I'm also 29 years old. Come back to me in about a decade and we'll see how good you guys are. ;)

Anyway, I played DDR at the arcade for the first time in like 2 months yesterday (not counting amusement parks)... no new AA's. :( I've been stuck at 192 for so long...

Pinkdoom, you've surpassed me in skill. A few of the songs i have slightly better scores in, but i haven't passed Euphoria or Summer (95 on Agent Blatent...nice). Yup, you've got me, man. Those are some incredible scores. *thumbs up*

I haven't ben to my local ITG arcade in about a week, i'll try and make it out there soon, but I'm doing edits right now, lol.

A wonderful time with all the people who still play and are good in Nashville, plus my friend who came with me. Not to mention I A'd PSMO too. Great great fun.

Bar raping... bleh. I tried it the other day and almost pulled my arms out of their sockets. I realize it's almost required to pass 10-footers and higher, but honestly, I'd rather not pass those songs than bar-rape. It's just no fun.

In other news, I'm up to 208 AA's. Some big ones recently include Vanity Angel, Dance Dance Revolution heavy, I Feel, Trip Machine Climax (no. 200), Tsugaru, Dynamite Rave (heavy and oni steps), Leading Cyber, Xenon, Insertion and Long Train Running.

I now have two 7-footers left to AA (the offbeat Hyper Eurobeat and D2R), 14 8-footers and 25 9-footers on Extreme.

Jeez, no one's updated this thread since August.

I am now up to 217 AA's. Last time I played, I got a couple of good ones, including So Deep (50 greats) and V Oni (62 greats). I also recently got Waka Laka, Drop Out and Healing Vision Angelic Mix.

Lately my play schedule has dropped to around once a month, if that, but not because I don't want to play, just because I've been busy (and I don't like to go in the evenings, because it's too crowded... yes, still).

I think I'm going to step it up now that DDR Super Nova is coming out soon, because:

a) My local arcade might get rid of Extreme in favor of Super Nova; and
b) Super Nova might have some screwy new scoring system that makes everyone's records moot.

I'm hoping not though.

Has anyone here AAA MAX 300 or MaxX Unlimeted (heavy)? I did. I am very confused with TLoM though. *** Edited 1/18/2006 9:58:42 PM UTC by deadman32***
