Progress Reports and Accomplishments

Even though this has nothing to do with accomplishments, does anyone know the name of the song under S in japanese characters? I love that song, and would like to know the name of it.

On to accomplishments...I got out to the mall today and played only two games...just didn't feel like wearing myself out...but out of those I had three decent accomplishments, A on DaiKenKai (if thats how you spell it) on heavy, A on A on heavy, and a B on the song under S on heavy. I hope some of these songs go to Ultramix 2...I love them so much. I don't see why Konami can't put Extreme on Xbox...and theres no way I'm gonna buy a PS2 just for Extreme...even though my pad is interchangeable between the two...damn.

Which one with japenes characters; there are multiple ones, but I think you mean Sakura.

There are only 10 types of people in the world - those who understand binary and those who dont.
And the PS2's only $149, by the way. =D

Nice job, Devin! Keep it up!

Nothing from me today ^^;

yeah i still step on those stupid arrows... ...so what? >_>
Yeah, I looked it up on DDR Freak, it's Sakura.

Thanks Kel ^-^. I'm heading out to the mall in a couple of hours, and it's gonna be dead, so i'm gonna try to get as many songs in as I can. Thanks again, by the way! :)

It could also have been Sana Morette Ne Ente, but that and Sakura are about as opposite as songs can get. :)

Just because the next PS2 game is called "Extreme" doesn't mean it's like Extreme in the arcades. MAX2 already had a few songs from Extreme (like Vanity Angel and Xenon), and Ultramix already had a few songs from Extreme (like Colors and Mobo Moga).

The PS2 Extreme and Ultramix 2 will be just like all the other U.S. games when it comes to song selection. They will both have random menu of songs from various mixes, new American-exclusive licensed songs, repeats from earlier mixes, etc. So don't feel too bad that you don't have a PS2.

But if it makes you feel better, A has already been announced as a song on Ultramix 2.

Well, I went out to California for a week and played a few rounds of DDR. I got to play Disneyland's 5th Mix (YAY! My favorite mix!). Their arcade was really hot and stuff so I only played a few rounds, but passed a few 9's I'd never played before. A on No Limit (cool song), A on Wonda (eh) and B on God of Romance (pretty cool, although the steps were kind of cruel, crossovers in 16th's? Yikes!) I also AA'ed Tribal Dance on my first time playing it!

They also had an Extreme which everyone else was playing, I played a round on it but nothing special came from it, except maybe for 4 goods and no misses on Fantasy, the 9-footer.

Woohoo! I just bought DDR for my home! Finally!

I ran into a new game shop that sells mostly used stuff (and all in great condition) CHEAP!

Now to save up for a metal pad........weeee!

Heh. Congrats(?) Tina.

I finally got an A on Exotic Ethnic Heavy. That song wears me out so fast...

Hey Tina, ask Andy about my first(and only) experience on DDR. Course it was after lots of head banging, a Borgasm, and a Vomitous day @ Carowinds....but needless to say, it wasn't pretty;).

That sucks Clint.....yikes! I think I get the idea. :-(

I know my *non-slip* cheapy pad is OK but it's getting old really fast. I am used to the arcade.

I have checked out a half a dozen or so places online for the metal pads.....what would you guys recommend? Ebay?

If you want to go Ebay, here is the dealer I bought my pad from: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=21185&item=8110074245&rd=1

The pad came sooner than expected (don't hope for it.) The handle bar was bent from UPS, but the dealer sent me a new one with out me returning the old pole or making an UPS report. Oh, no extra cost. :D

The dealer responded quickly to all my e-mails and was very costomer friendly. They aren't out to rip you off because we accidentally ordered 2, and they wanted us to make sure we knew what we were doing, so they personally called us.

Tina, if you order from eBay, the thing to remember is to make sure the arrows are polyurethane (sp)... not acrylic. My first pad had acrylic arrows and they all cracked within a month. My second pad has ... that p-word... and no cracks yet after three months.

The pad on the auction link that I sent has polycarbonate arrows. Not sure how they compare to polyurethane, but mine havn't even shown the slightest sign of cracking. I've had mine for 3 months now.
Oh wait - maybe that's what I meant. ;) Poly-something, anyway, and not acrylic. :)

Thanks guys. :-)

Well, I now only have two more songs on Max1 USA to beat, Exotic Ethnic and Max300, after beating HVAM and Orion.78. As you can see, Fast songs kill me.

Yay!

Chattanooga needs a ITG2 Machine!

Tina: I modded a cheap ass ($15) soft pad for about $25 and it plays better than any soft pad and about as well as most hard pads that I've tried. If you want more details, feel free to PM me.

Bump. :)

I guess I'll post a few tidbits..

Got my first SDG yesterday, 8 greats on Cowgirl! :)

21 greats on Witch Doctor. Just goes to show I play that song WAY too much. Ooh, eeh uh ah ah...

Full-comboed my second Random All Nonstop Heavy, and this time it was slightly challenging! I know Paranoia Evolution, Vanity Angel and the Oni remix of Higher were in there, but I don't remember the last song. It was probably I Believe in Miracles. I've been getting that song way too much lately.

And NEW 9-footers AA'ed:
Destiny Lovers
Irresistiblement
Can't Stop Fallin' in Love Speed Mix
My Summer Love (on 1x of course!)

Also full-comboed Rhythm and Police and Stay (from MAX2) but had too many greats so no AA for me. :(
