No solid answer was given but many different things were hinted around. Some say they are staying. Some people think they are being relocated in the park. Others think they are being located to another park.
Yesterday was incredible if you wanted to ride. There were a lot of enthusiasts riding Flying Eagles the entire day as there was a strong rumor going around that this might be the last time this season to ride them. I am not sure I believe that rumor but I decided to get in as many rides as I could. Just in case. I ended up with at least 15 rides.
Supposedly everything will be answered in the next couple of weeks. Is there a chance they may be leaving? Who knows? If they do end up leaving before the season is over, I am glad I got the chance to ride them. I ended up getting the best rides I have ever gotten on them last night.

If you look to the past... when a significant ride removal was pending... PKI has been pretty good about letting enthusiasts know so that they can get in their farewell rides.
That having been said.... I expect that no announcable (sp?) decision has been made at this point.

As far as King Cobra goes, there was a strong rumor it was leaving but the park wasn't sure. If I had to guess on why the park didn't make a big announcement about the ride leaving it would be because they honestly didn't know what was in store for that location. As Shaggy can verify, the park has changed their minds last minute on a number of things. I am just glad I got to ride it closing day as I had a feeling it was leaving.

Might it be safe to say they (PP) haven't yet finalized the decision of the fate of the Eagles? Personally, PCar is closer to me, but I think EVERY park should have a set of snappable flyers...you are certainly capable of having a *gentle* ride if that's your preference! ;)
edit: Since Sean was posting at the same time, I am forced to wonder why they didn't just tear down EVERY other Togo in the US (esp. the one in Jersey, Danny!), and use them for parts to fix the ONE good Togo coaster there was....:)

As for Snapping the FLyers, My Charles Jaques Coney Cincinnati book features quotes from the Cincinnati Newspapers from the 1940's mention the more adventureous can even snap the cables and that sitting outside the flyers was commonplace due to the constant breeze created by them.
Chuck, who thinks it would be a bad move for PKI to remove the flyers without at least replacing them.

I heard this rumor also with two other rumors at the time. I know sometimes things change at the last min. in the park world. Well like I said on another form looks like we will have to wait till next season.
Flyers are just simply too good of an experience to take out. I can understand the low capacity issue in a big park, but at least PKI has the 10 tub model! They, like other rides made popular decades ago, have made a comeback in recent years. You just can't beat an interactive (and unpredictable) ride. It seems like Paramount is very happy with them regardless of design, and if one of their parks doesn't have one, they move to correct that problem. Whether or not every Paramount park will have one by 2010, I don't know. :) But it's sure nice to have a snappable one in Ohio. Knoebels is just too far for a one day trip!
I agree that a brake is needed for PKI's, and after visiting Lake Compounce, I am surprised that more parks haven't given theirs the same treatment. LC increased capacity by stopping them sooner. I believe theirs had some sort of rim drive in the center, but I know other sets that had different means of operation and stopped considerably fast. You know it's bad when your braking sequence is longer than the ride itself! But PKI's is far more exciting than any of the Larsons I've ridden. Though attractive in design, the Larsons just don't have that personality......the tubs feel heavier and therefore don't want to respond as quickly. You can't help but wish for more while onboard those things. Indy Beach made up for it by doing what few other parks can do......place it over water! Heck, even Conneaut's snapped better (with some reverse thinking).
All my group can do is head to PPP with anticipation, some crazy hats (:D), and hope that this unique ride will only move as far as the Flight Commander platform......
