After much debate and speculation, Paramount's Kings Island announced today their new-for-2002 attraction, Tomb Raider: The Ride. Though not a lot of information was divulged, representatives referred to the ride as a "heavily-themed, totally immersive dark ride experience" where guests would be part of the action the entire time, including while waiting in the queue.
Kings Island officials say there's nothing like it in the world. Though not a record-breaking roller coaster, the park says they're aiming for something special to celebrate their 30th anniversary.
Thanks SonofBeast. I mean all Pki can sit on their butts and laugh while CP tries to compete. Seriously- CP is a great park but it just has no potential to expand much more than it already has. Pki does though- they have more than half their property to play around with still. If you ask yourself which park will be the Roller coaster capital in about 3-5 yrs. It may not be what you want to happen- but you almost have to place your bets with pki.
...so when it comes to this thing we're debating here. Who cares if we get a monster hyper, super, giga, coaster next year. I'll be here Kings Island has enoung of them for us to chew on right now. Plus they are promising us an innovative thrill seekers extasy for next year- so we coaster enthusiasts can contain ourselves for another year or so awaiting a giga for Southern OH. Thanx
yep, im happy with that seeings how i live 40 min away from PKI
