Little birdie say's "Think The Italian Job" themed.Possible wild mouse of some sort with cars looking like 'Mini Coopers'.
Well, someone who works at the park and has a firstname.lastname@paramountparks.com e-mail address mention to me that the new ride will be themed to the "Italian Job" movie and that some ride (im thinking it was called the eagle) will be placed where the sky lab was. Im not to familar w/ the park being that I have never been there. But the person who told me isnt a coaster junkie and knew nothing about the survey. As far as what type of ride its suppose to be I have no idea but thats all that was mention to me............
Oh yeah there was also a mention about the car ride leaving the park. *** Edited 8/2/2004 11:54:04 PM UTC by coasterbruh***
There are no bad coasters, only better coasters!!

There are no bad coasters, only better coasters!!
My sources who know a certain manufacturer's uncle's caterer told me PKI plans to retheme the flyers as GRAVY: THE RIDE.
Not only will each tub be painted as a shiny, stainless steel gravy boat, the steering wings will be decorated as succulent cuts of meat. Initial plans called for porterhouse, T-bone and sirloin decals....but work with focus groups indicated Steak-umm slices, Banquet chicken thighs and processed pork 'Ribettes' were a little more realistic for the clientele.
In-park spending is expected to jump about 700%.

NOTE: Severe fecal impaction may render the above words highly debatable.
As for where either one of these rides would go. I'd be willing to bet where the antique cars are...the ones PKI doesn't use anymore...and Adam's family theme would fit in nicely in all the thick trees there.
But there is also MANY places PKI can fit in rides still.
PS- everyone make sure to stop at the Ohio State Fair, it's definetly not a fair to pass up. :)
However, if it's going to be themed, then I would kinda' doubt it's one of the above. You never know though. Either way, I'm excited to hear this news, and look forward to the announcement! If only it was a week later, I could have actually maybe gone. Oh well. I'm sure there'll be a good representation of enthusiasts there.

This would be an excellent move on PKI's part, as they will finally be getting back into the same league as CP with a move like that.
Yes, it would be a great way to get into the same groove that CP is in, but the PR/Marketing folks have been making it clear at Beastbuzz for the past two years that they are striving to become "the Universal of the Midwest."
Creating a truely themed movie park would *not* involve white concrete and giant coasters.
Why should the be when adding Delirium, Scooby and other moves have kept them the same or ahead of CP in terms of attendance?
Your Mission is to figure it out.

And why should PKI be in CP's league when they are pulling in the same attendance figures?
They are doing just fine in their own league.
My favorite MJ tune: "Billie Jean" which I have been listening to alot now. RIP MJ.
If they can try something new while continuing to kick ass... I say let them. Not everyone who heads to parks craves, needs, and drools over record breaking coasters.
There are some enthusiasts who do crave, need, and drool over huge rides. The park addresses them as a very specific term when it comes to attendance: insignifigant.
The fact that all of us around here and the park know that the enthusiast population makes up such an insignifigant percentage of the population yet the park still does everything possible to keep us enthused says something amazing about the place. Keeping your enthusiasts enthused sells a few extra season passes come October. Nothing really signifigant, but every little bit helps.
Chitown: Who says this is the best park in Ohio.

Perhaps it has changed recently. I'll admit I haven't been to the park in a long time.
Top Gun used to have "steam" coming up from the trench below the trains in the station, and the queue used to go through the "aircraft carrier" below the "flight deck". I think all that stuff is still there, but they now route the queue around it instead of through it. Honestly, you aren't missing much.

The next question is one of protocol, i.e. what is the expected dress code at such an event?
