PKI 2005 announcement set... enthusiasts invited!

Hello all!

PKI has “made us an offer we cannot refuse.” Fellow Paramount Kings Island fans are cordially invited for a special press announcement on Thursday August 12th. PKI is graciously inviting enthusiasts to share in this exciting event.

This is a biggie folks. The park will be announcing their new product (new attraction)for the 2005 season! Trust me when I say you will not be disappointed with the news….. whatever it may be…. LOL!

The announcement will take place promptly at 10:30am in the Paramount Theatre. It will be handled on a first-come-first-serve seating basis. If the theatre fills, then you will not be allowed in. Doors shut promptly at 10:30am so make sure you are there prior.

FYI, this invite DOES NOT include free admission to the park. The press event is simply open to those who are able to attend the park on their own merit that day.

The announcement, I am promised, will be a stellar presentation with lots of fun stuff to see and hear…. and plenty of details! The theatre presentation portion should last about 20 minutes, then there will be a short 10-15 minute follow-up outside the theatre elsewhere in the park. Hmmmmmm……

I know PKI is really excited about the annoumcement so it won't surprise me if the park goes all out for this day.

As it looks right now, I won't be able to make it but I applaud PKI for inviting enthusiasts to their announcements.

... And you won't. PKI will not publicize the new attraction prior to the announcement.

Also, press announcements are usually reserved for.... well, the press.... so they are being kind in inviting enthusiasts. They will not publicize a special press announcement, especially on their website. Otherwise they could not limit it in any way.

And how many people would really flock to PKI for a friggin' announcement except a couple of hundred Emgee enthusiasts. It wouldn't do crap for the park financially or otherwise.

This is one of those nice little 'bonuses' that PKI is so kind in tossing out to enthusiasts.

Hmmm...I think there is more to it than that. I think that it is primarily a press event, with enthusiasts thrown in to kick up the vibe a bit. Perhaps it'll rub off on the press folks there and give the articles an extra boost. Also, should anyone take pictures at the event, you have a packed room of very interested people...nice opportunity says I.

That's not to say they aren't being nice or haven't been nice in the past though.
