I'm not a big fan of "heavy" beer either. Ditto on some of the microbrews, good stuff, but if I decide after a beer that I want to tie one on, it's hard to do when the mass of the beer is greater. I don't like to chew it. ;)

At PKI, they serve beer. There have been a number of times i have seen drunk drivers leaving PKI at close. Once, my friend's mom had a guy go into her lane.. accept he was going the opposite way! He also had just left PKI. I bet if you were to set up a road block as people left PKI, there would be a bunch of drunk drivers caught. I dont think alcohol should be served at amusement parks. If someone got drunk... they could kill themselves ( a la Skylab at PKI ).

That reminds me of someone we met a couple years ago in the SOB line at PKI. He and three friends had come up from Kentucky earlier in the day and had figured out how to steal beer from the stands around the park. (I obviously won't go into detail on that. :)). He was actually pretty nice and we talked coasters and stuff almost the entire wait for the front seat. He seemed kinda sober until he got on the train (he was right before us to ride) and then he started making a fool of himself like nothing I'd ever seen at a park. He was waving his hat around and screaming (in the heaviest "redneck" accent you can imagine) and trying to get the rest of the train to join him. Everyone in the station was laughing when the train left and we could hear him all the way up the lift hill. That's still the strangest and funniest thing I've ever encountered at any park. But the scary thing is, this was toward the end of the evening and those guys had a long drive back to Kentucky ahead of them....

That said, I have never had any alcohol in my life, so you can conclude that I don't drink at parks.

Aw man, I'm getting sick just thinking about drinking in 90 degree heat and then going upside down a couple of coasters. LOOK OUT BELOW! I do love to bake a batch of Mary-Jane Brownies or some Chronic Cookies before going to a park. Like it says below-what a combo!
