More than launch, top-hat and breaks.

Check this out. Looks like structure for a hill or overbank turn [url="http://www.virtualmidway.com/popup/mysterypopup6001.asp?image=attraction401.jpg&title=Mystery%20Attraction" target="_blank">

OK that definitely peaks my interest. but those sections are so narrow. Very very interesting.

Let's go ride The Fonicks

I thought the same before, but hearing a certain webmaster, who ain't allowed to say too much about the ride, stating that it's for an elevator system up the giant tower... i tend to believe his opinion.

Hi. My name is scaffolding. And if I'm having an identity crisis, someone told me to tell you my name is miscellaneous parts. *Sarcasm off*

Well then, where are the footers for this hill then my friends?

maybe thats the mini box track that they are gonna use for the kids version of this ride! nice to meet you... my name is sarcasm ;)
Haha. Red Rocket Jr.
Well I hope the new ride doesn't break.

I'm sure Cedar Point and Intamin AG are intending for it to do so...;) And while they're at it, they also probably should try to see how many people they can kill too when it falls over. *ends sarcasm*

It's scaffolding. it's not even CLOSE to supports or track.

I'm not seeing how that little bit of scrap justifies a whole thread of "launch, tophat, brakes."

it does look interesting from far away, but once you get up on it..no way.

"Launch, Top-Hat, and Breaks"....great name for it if this things turns out to be a too-exact copy of the KBF ride....;)

I don't get the punch line of the joke rollergater...

Xcelerator has two overbanks. This ride doesn't.

This is just a pet peeve of mine, but I believe the phrase is, "piques my interest."

I must be the only person on the planet who isn't one bit impressed by this ride. Okay, it's big. So what?

And yes, that's scaffolding. I wouldn't go near this thing if those were supports.

Who's actually been to the site in person and believes there's more to it than Launch-Tophat-Brakes?

Don't bother referencing photos--go visit and see for yourself. Until then, you really don't have much to talk about.

Its definetly for the elevator shaft thats going to run up the middle of the tower.

Ninjas are cool; and by cool, I mean totaly sweet.

Yes, it's the elevator to the rotating restaurant. All this phony track stuff is just to distract everyone from the real purpose of this tower. ;)

Well, I don't know how any enthusiast can be uniterested in this ride. It it is only launch (over 100 mph), top hat (400 feet high) and the finish I am juiced.

People waited in 4 hour lines to ride the first free fall rides which were basically elevator ride - drop.

People waited in long lines for Superman -TE which is basically a launch and reverse freefall.

If you all don't like it....great for me. The line will be a couple of people shorter.

For those of you saying that this ride will totally and absolutely suck before you ever even see it in person (you know who you are)- get over yourself. You are an enthusiass. Thank you.

I do, and it's really quite simple. Going really fast up a really big hill just doesn't appeal to me, hence my initial interest in this thread.

Hey! I'm also an enthusiast and huge CP lover, but I can't help but be a bit disappointed already. If it turns out to be more than a L-TH-B I will probably think differently. I was way disappointed when WT was announced. I thought, so it's bigger and has two twists, big deal. Been there, done that, right down the street from CP. After riding it, I still feel the same. I was really hoping for unique. SFMM upped the ante with X, and even S:TE. I really thought this next coaster for CP would be something we haven't seen yet. I have been to Knotts, and Xcel is great and special, but just taking the launch portion of that ride and making it larger does not make for a great ride. It's seems to me that CP is just going for the record, and since it most likely will be a full circuit it will finally put the S:TE debate to rest.

Overall though, I am still excited to watch it grow and frequent the Web Cams and these threads daily. Just a little bummed, thats all.
