...Not far enough apart...lol.
What could they do with the floorless design that hasn't already been done? The floorless concept I think has pretty much run its course. *** Edited 2/14/2006 7:44:15 AM UTC by Scream Machine***
Ugh, it's not a dive machine. Let it go.

I like your closing "plug the answer and play with ya'll" Clever - but doubtfull imo. Too much wood clustered together, along with the fact, who would ride MS if Maverick was wood right next to it? I think reworking MS with plug n play track makes economic sense.
I don't understand "screams" logic, the elements of all coasters are the same, they go "up and down". A dive machine would appeal to the family if it had water elements, so maybe Maverick is a dive machine. However I still think it's going to be a floorless since CP has one sit down looper and certainly could use another one, especially if it's a world record breaker.
A 4D would certainly rock, but I suspect after TTD and WT, a 4D is more likely after Maverick.
Fun to speculate, time will tell.

because cedar fair feels it doesn't need another b&m right now
Where are you getting this idea from?
It could be anything, none of you know unless you are part of the planning or have some inside knowledge, and I not talking about the Doughnut Time manager.

Why not just get rid of it and get something better?
People seem to be right though, MS is probably staying and we're getting something else. I wouldn't put it past CP to totally rework that area, look at how much the WT area has changed since the addition of MF: The Giant Wheel, Troika, Chaos, WT, MaxAir, and new games. I worked on MaxAir and WT for a week, that area is hopping now. That's been 6 years since MF's addition...maybe SkyHawk is the start of a new cycle.

It's funny that some just want to complain about big woodies yet there is quite the anticpation for Voyage and El Toro. *** Edited 2/14/2006 5:11:10 PM UTC by larrygator***
Impulse-ive said:- 4-D is an interesting thought, but they already tried twice to depart from tried-and-true technology (WT and TTD) and got burned both times ... once severely (TTD). I doubt you'll see this one from a fool-me-twice-shame-on-me perspective and the fact that the Arrow version, while probably different from the B&M version, has horrid
capacity (although that's more due to maintenance issues than true capacity issues). I also just think it's a little too wild for the current park climate. Everyone's going for the family buck, and I think whatever's going in is going to be a little tamer
B&M has a 4th Dimension design? I know Intamin has a model similar to the 4D, but B&M's is new to me.
Speaking of the new Intamin launcher, anyone have any information concerning this prototype?
IMO, "fixing" MS would require MASSIVE amounts of changes to the structure and even considerable tweaking of the layout (the second half is one long, slow, decline).
Oh, and add me to the list of people that think a GIANT wooden coaster needn't be a bad ride...although I *wood* follow HW's lead - any *record-breaking* wooden coaster should be an O-n-B in terms of layout, lest ye repeat the SOB experience...

It is very funny. El Toro I am not so worried about as it seems the tech was created for bigger faster woodies, The Voyage I could see having issues down the road. Still riding them both this season!
But you can bet any *major* coaster addition is headed to one park and one park only. ;)
In regards to CP's and Kinzel's relationship with Intamin, my two cents...sometimes when a capital equipment manufacturer has issues with a new product, and the first install of that product has all sorts of problems (like TTD at CP), the manufacturer may come back with another special offer to compensate for the problems with the original product. Being that we are unaware of any lawsuit between CP and Intamin, this is a definite possibility. In another words, this lends itself to the thought that a plug-n-play woodie may be going in....
