La Ronde adding seven new rides for 2003

I wonder what else has been modifyed at La Ronde? Well... if anyone knows, please let me know. Maybe it's me... but I do talk a lot and I like to post a lot too. Thanks.

I don't know what, but they was suppose to modifed some restaurant and add some, put mores flowers etc...

We can now pre-order the 2003 Season Passport on LaRonde.com ! The price increased since last year, but there's a good reduction of the regular price!!!

I have to say that I'm very proud that La Ronde has been bought by Six Flags. The park's changes are great, the new rides exciting, and the admission fees very afordable (sorry for my spellings). I've been to 3 U.S parks last summer: Six Flags New England MA, Worlds of Adventures OH and Six Flags Great Adventure NJ. I've have to say That I've never been so excited just thinking what the park will become when the 5 years restructuration will be done!!! Six Flags is the best thing that could hapened to Montreal thes last decades :)

Soon, we'll have nothing to envy to US parks anymore lol.

About the size of the Manitou and the Vertigo... Sometimes great thrills do not always equals great heights ya know! Take the Flying Carpet (R.I.P.) for an example. It was pretty fast, but not that high. I'm pretty sure those newbies will become classics.

I've been on the Jacques-Cartier Bridge this eveningto see the changes and construction of the new rides. Some people complained that the Manitou and Vertigo were quite small. Well they are not as small as I imagined. In fact, Ifound the Vertigo almost the same height the Astronef was but I think it wasn't finished i guess (if you look to the drawing on La Rondes Website, there is a logo saying vertigo on it.). The Manitou also seems to be quite amuzing and good looking too :) I hope this model will be fast spining and swinging over 90 degrees. I can't wait to ride it:))) The Caroussel was'nt finished yet, onlyn the permanent roof was contructed but nothing under it. Tasses Magiques and Tobbogan Nordique will be fun for me cause I've never ride a zig-zag coaster b4 and didn't try the tea cups in my U.S trip last year. I did not see much of the Tour de Ville though.... and nothing about the Bumper cars.

Anyway, only 2 weeks to go, and it's summertime 4 me!!!

That sounds great Franchou... and I do hope that they will be amusing. What changes do you people want for the next season as rides and other stuff? I would like to see like the travelling ride (the one that goes over the water) to be revmoved and make place for some other new flat rides like an Energy Storm, a Shocker, and a really cool flying roller coaster called Volar, all from Zamperla. A Dream Boat with two big boats to replace the small one we have now, an Enterprize, and finally a Fly Away, these ones all from Huss. I know that it's hard for the park to build all these rides at the same time, and I know that this is just a dream of mine, but it would be pretty wickedly cool. And people , I want to start making a website about La Ronde. I`ve scanned aproximatly 30 pics yesterday and they're ready to be uploaded on the website. If anyone knows a good reliable website that would be free , with a support for mySQL and phpBB , give me the adress and I'll try to do my best by creating a La Ronde online community.

I f 6Flgs decides to add new flat rides, I would die if we had Huss's Jump2 (or at least the classic Jump) or Topple Tower. I remember when I was a kiddie (I'm 27 now), we used to have the Enterprise, the Rainbow and the UFO!!! We even used to have what they called "new" this year's Tour De Ville, formely knowned as Chaises Volantes (Flying chairs). I Totally agree with RoCk_StEaDy about the Fly Away. I tried it when I was at SF New England last summer, and i liked it. It was funnier than the Enterprise :)

What would be cute too is te Chance-Morgan's Inverter & Chaos. I don't know why, but I had so much fun in those two :oD

Franchou, you are so right about the inverter and chaos... but the other ride I would love so much is the zipper. It's such a cool ride ever since I went on it at the fair... it has been my favorite of all. Yup 13 days and were off to La Ronde WHOA...

I rode a Chance Morgan's Inverter last year and I disagree with you when you say it's so fun! I suffered a lot because of the lap bar that crushes our thighs! Inverter's lap bar is more suffering than Top Spin's one...

I really want La Ronde to add a Huss' Jump²! I was supposed to try it at PCW this year... but the trip has been cancelled :( Anyway, what I want the most at La Ronde is a new rollercoaster...

Maybe it's me or is the official La Ronde web site never updated. Yeah once or twice a month. I hope that they will update it more often, like every 2-3 day, since the opening is coming near; only 12.
