La Ronde adding seven new rides for 2003

I had a look at the pictures last sunday. I returned yesterday. I thought I was crazy : the picture were not the same! I am finally not, ouf ;)

I saw the rides at the news channel (LCN), and .. they don't impress me much. Toboggan nordique seems to be slow, and I don't think Manitou is tall enough. The carrousels and the tea cups are cute. The bumper cars will be fun : the "cars" are original ! And they didn't show Vertigo. Anyway, I' m looking forward to trying (almost) all of them!!

Lol!!! I saw it wednesday. They also talked about the prices and the policies. This year, coolers won't be accepted, we are not allowed to bring drinks and food. The price of the their food has increased. They said "it's for the security of our guests"... I think it's more for $money$, lol ! Anyway... I'm not going there for the food, what I want is thrill, thrill and thrill ! ;)

Ohhh... I went today (Saturday) and a lot of the rides were closed, such as "Boomerang", "Minirail", "Spirale", and one side of "Monster"... it sucked. All the new rides are really amazing. I like "Manitou" sooo much, and the "Bumper Cars" are hard to control at first, but you get used to. It's so funny, you put the sticks in opposite directions, and you start spinning like crazy... haha... it was cool. "Vertigo" is so cool, the head rush you get is amazing. "Tea-cups" hehe... you spin like crazy... ummm... "Grand Carousel"... it's not really new... like the rides itself. It was like all rusted.. but nice there was a pig hehehe... ummm... the other rides I don't remember.. ahh yeah the "Toboggan Nordique"... (best place: IN THE FRONT) It goes sooo fast and it's so cool. It's the best roller coaster. I swear. Ahhh... and "Tour De Ville" is so relaxing... hehe... There was still a lot of people smoking in line ewww... and the prices ohhhhh zh!t... they were really high. A hamburger at a restaurant out of no where was 4 bucks, and wasn't even good. Better eat at Mcdonalds because it's good, cheap, and it fills you up.. Have fun at La Ronde this season. I went today, I'll go tomorrow, and on Monday... WHOA...

Buy the way Rock Steady did you prefer Manitou or Vertigo?

Does the Manitou do a 360 rotation like the Vertigo or just a 'half rotation' like the Bateau Pirate..

Yeah I like the "Vertigo" better just because it goes a full 360 degrese, and "Manitou" is not like the ride shown in the video Nico had posted a while back (download and see). The ride is the same, and it goes back and forth like "Bateau Pirate". I would say that is swings in a 100 degrese range. You go horozontal but just a little bit more. Although they are both my new favorite additions, I'm sure Six Flags has plenty more in stores for us next year. I'm sure it's gonna be a roller coaster named "Superman" and it's going to be red and blue. That's why we don't have any red and blue roller coasters (except for "Toboggan Nordique" which is blue... but "Superman" will be dark blue). Well... that's what I think :D.

If you wanna try "Manitou", better wear some sunblock or a sweater with a hood or else you will get a really bad sunburn on your neck. There's no roof, and the freakin' ride line goes sooo slow. Once your on it, it's amazing. "Vertigo" is so amazing, it's the best. The line goes just a little faster then "Manitou", and there is a roof in the queue line, so it's all good. The "Toboggan Nordique" is so fast and cool. The line is long, there is a roof, and there is no time to sit on the railings because the line is always on the move. The "Tour De Ville" is so refreshing and the line, wait what line there's hardly anyone in line. Cool. "Tea Cups" are fun, but it hurts your hands when you spin too much, and the wheel thing in the middle is black and is right in the sun. Forgt it... do it during the morning or at night or else your hands are going to be all red. "Bumper Cars" are simply the best. No waiting and if there is your in the shade. They have a really nice design that makes all the nice cool wind come in and there are fans on the ceiling, and it's pretty refreshing. I can't wait for next year. WHOA...
