Six Flags announced yesterday the addition of seven new rides to La Ronde for the 2003 season. The lineup includes a variety of flat rides, as well as a wild mouse roller coaster to be called "Toboggan Nordique."

Whatever or whenever the next coaster will be, I just want it to have a lot of air time since none of the roller coasters at La Ronde offer that.

Because of the new rides, does the lines of the other rides go faster? It would be cool...mmm, a "Monstre" without waiting... (okay, just dreaming ;))..

Well... "Le Monstre" has only one side working and the 2 wagons are on. It goes pretty fast the line though. The lines don't go faster for other rides because there are more people, but it doesn't matter because you don't wait too long for other rides. It's all good :).

Have a look at this web site! It contains really nice pics of La Ronde!!!

Nico: some weeks ago (05/03/2003), you talked about your own La Ronde website!!! Did you do something, and if so, is it uploaded on the net ?

Well like I said before , I need some support !

Like someone find me a good reliable free host with more than enough webspace and I could start it when school will be finished. Until then, I've scanned my old pics and last year pics of La Ronde.

ok.. if you did it with an HTML program, I suggest you to use geocities.com.. There's a little advertising banner, but dit is easy to use!

who took some pictures of the new rides??? I want to see them :P

I've took some and I said I need a GOOD and RELIABLE and FREE host , geocities isn't !
Stupid rain... is La Ronde even open when it rains? Rain is stupid... I hate it...

I want to know if anyone knows what roller coaster will be added to La Ronde in the next seasons? I have searched all over the web to find information and I have found nothing. I would like anyone to talk about what they would like and what they have heard? I hope they make some kind of "TTD" at Cedar Point that starts from the ferris wheel and goes under the Jacque Cartier bridge and that then goes over it and back. It would be cool. Well... what ever they do i'm sure it'll be cool! :)

RUMOR:

While this is hardly solid news at this point, we’ve heard that the park has signed a deal with Intamin to build an unknown new coaster for next season.

That's the only thing I know

see ya

Did you know that... Six Flags has announced that it will soften the rule restricting visitors from entering the La Ronde site with packed lunches. Sensitive to the opinions expressed by some of its customers; the company re-examined the policy...

Cyberflash: that would be sooo cool if it was true (maybe it is?!?)... but if it is, I hope it's going to be a giga-coaster because they are sooo cool. Well... we will see next year.

The deal is done put we don't know what kind of coaster it will be.

I still think it could be a Superman: The Ride

Ciao

Is it going to be a new state-of-the-art coaster or is it going to be a model that already exists? Between the Intamin coasters they have: 1) Superman - Ride Of Steel http://www.rcdb.com/installationdetail628.htm 2) Superman - The Escape http://www.rcdb.com/installationdetail140.htm 3) Superman - Ultimate Escape http://www.rcdb.com/installationdetail631.htm If they don't choose between these three, I hope it will be a new model (like when X opened) and if not I wish the Superman - Ride Of Steel. In French Superman - Muscles D'acier. LOL. I know i'm a loser that laughs alone... hehehe... Anyways we'll have to see. :)

In those you said, the one I like the most is Superman Ride of Steel... But if you remember, some weeks ago, Officianado told us that it could be something like Nitro.. I'd like it so much, but it's not an Intamin coaster...Superman The Escape is also cool --> wow! a 100 meters drop !!!

Really... but maybe intamin will make a ride similar like nitro (I mean like the 4 seater wagons) hummm... but what ever happens... I just hope the ride will have a lot of air time.

As for my opinions on the new rides, I like them a lot. I congratulate Six Flags on making the park a more well rounded park by adding flats. All we need now is one large flagship coaster to which La Ronde can call it's own. A hyper coaster could very well do the trick.

Regarding a new coaster... I'm hoping for 2004, but realistically I think it'll be in 05. I'm hoping for a B&M hyper, seeing as how I've already ridden Intamin's S:ROS. Although ROS is the best coaster I've ridden, I'd like B&M to supply the hyper for La Ronde. They have better capacity anyway, and we all know that a 200+ foot ride at La Ronde will be jam packed.

I look foward to establishing an on-line comunity, even if it is just a forum. Keep riding those coasters!*** This post was edited by Talon 6/18/2003 11:59:21 AM ***

Hey Talon... what you are saying is so true... I hope too for a B&M hyper and I do think it will be in 2005 because I think that the park will be renovating more rides and adding a little bit more. I think the ride that MUST definitly go is the stupid haunted house. I'm sure that they will also concentrate on renovating buildings and making them more like the Montreal infrastructure. I also noticed that all the new rides have the same gated and same ride operater cabin. Maybe they will change all the gates so that they will be all the same. But enough of what I think... what do you guys think?!?

------------------
*ND*

Lol! The haunted house! But people still goes on it... The best place for a new ride is where the old cable railway was situated. I want a B&M hyper, too ;)
