KK BIG breakdown?!?!?

I'm not jealous. I'm happy because I live near CP and I ride Dragster all the time. All i'm saying is that Six Flags put Ka in to spite CP. In the end Dragster still is better even if it is not the tallest now. At least I can go to CP and ride dragster everytime because it is properly maintained. How do you call that jealousy? That's the question!
And how is Dragster still better?
The dragster launch is more intense, plus it just has lap bars. The OTSRs on Ka kill the airtime. It could be better, but the ride needs only lap bars, then it might be better than dragster.
You might not be able to pin it on Intamin exactly but, the mechanics on Ka have worked very hard on this coaster. This incident has never happened on TTD or any other rocket so this was a total suprize/freak accident. The mechanics are doing the best they can. You can't really fix a ride if the parts have not all arrived yet. Who cares if you would venture out to NJ to ride it. That is not what this topic is about. If all you are trying to do is start a debate, take it to another thread because this isn't the place for it. And by this last post I can assume you have ridden Ka? Oh wait, you haven't so how would you know for sure? *** Edited 7/4/2005 1:19:23 AM UTC by mudinthevayne***
Let me tell you cp is the best park in the world they do every to make you enjoy your day they get every thing up and running in the quickest time possible and i like that but when i visited kentucky kingdom greezed lightnin' was down most of the day and if that was cp. it would have been open more often so i think six flags bites.

So Six Flags sucks because a ride was closed for part of the day?

Pathetic.

With that logic Raptor was built to spite Six Flags and their Batman, and Chang was built to spite CF and Mantis. The list would be endless if I kept going...

Amusement parks are a business, and coasters are built to improve the particular park's product. Theres nothing personal about it. You can't just throw numerous millions of dollars around to spite Park X.

Never Has Gravity Been So Uplifting.

Well, I think that it was a bad decision to put OTSRs on Ka. Where's the fun? What's next, OTSRs on on a wooden coaster. Ka doesn't go upside down. OTSRs and not needed. Look at Greezed Lightnin', it goes upside down and backwards with just a lap bar. What do you say to that!!!!
It seems like you people believe that rides don't ever breakdown. I am sure that not all rides at CP are open. A couple weeks ago my niece went to CP and told me that Mantis was down. Hmmm... if CP is so good at keeping rides up, how come SFKK can keep Chang running almost day the park is open. SFKK is my homepark and everytime I've gone there since Chang was built it has been open. Greezed Lightnin' is a little buggy, get used to it.
At least CF doesnt have a 4d yet :)

But they will make a bigger one than SFMM to spite them.

From what I've heard, Intamin is not allowing the t-bar restraints as an option anymore (or atleast for rockets).
Here is a question? Why was Ka put in when Six Flags saw the problems with dragster? If Six Flags was smart, they would have waited to build Ka and then these problems could have been avoided, but no the had to have a launch coaster better than Cedar Point's. They put Ka in to prosper, but also to spite CP.
CP doesn't have a 4d because why? Maybe because X is always down!
I have been to another Six Flags park and it sucked I liked it as Geauga Lake the first time and I loved it, but Six Flags trashed it and Cp is Cleaning up the mess Six Flags left behind and is making it better and the two times I was at that Six Flags Park The villan was down and so was Mr. Hydes Nasty Fall was down all the time. Cp fixed that and retracked the Rageing Wolfbobs and so Cp better maintains their rides then Six Flags

i agree with Cp Junkie on the 4d thing

Then why were (I believe) 2 of the 4 rockets built this year with Lap Bars?

Also because the capacity sucks (often less than 400pph), and CP won't buy anything like that.

Actually, Peabody, 5 Rockets are built/being built this year, and thusfar only one has OTSRs.

Why doesn't Cedar Point have a 4D? It has nothing to do with SFI, and everything to do with the manufacturer. Cedar Point Junkie 2007 & Mean Streak 2007 need to grow up just a bit before they come to CBuzz.

Cedar Point doesn't care that SFI built Ka. You don't think they didn't know it was buing built a while ago? I doubt there is much that goes on in the industry that every single CEO & Park Manager doesn't know about way before hand.

Umm...Kanonen, Kingda Ka,and Rita all have OTSRs. Galaxy Express 999 not for sure, and Superman the Ride hasn't been completed yet. Storm Runner for obvious reasons has them. Currently Xcelerator and TTD doesn't have them. I got the info from http://rcdb.com/installationresult.htm?column=1,10,3,4,5&order=1,2&model=187 *** Edited 7/4/2005 2:11:55 AM UTC by mudinthevayne***
Galaxy Express is Lap bars only. Check the thread running about it.

So, it must be up to the park.
