Kings Island new Coaster 2014

Yes, that's the day I'm talking about. We couldn't tell who was talking or what they were saying. I know they needed to train, but you would think that between 9:30 and 10 they woulda called a cease fire, especially on loud rides like Raptor.

I'm just curious, but does anyone know if there is another park out there that has as much owned land as Kings Island? I know it's the same size as Cedar Point at 364 acres, but I thought I remember reading that the amount of land owned by Kings Island but not necessarily used is around 700-something acres. This seems like an incredible amount, double what they are using. They really have a ridiculous amount of room for future expansion.

Idk if this has been posted in this thread yet, but here's what's outside the construction site at KI.

That's what I've been saying for years...

"We must let go of the life we have planned, so as to accept the one that is waiting for us."
-Joseph Campbell

I have been thinking it for years.

Now here's an unlikely, but possibly good idea: add another roaring wooden coaster that begins near Windseeker. Let's call it the Monster. It would go into Beast's forest. They wouldn't see each other except on near collision situations. The Beast would hear the screams of Monster and the other way around. The question would be, how would we ensure the near collisions and screams without the side by side dispatching? The answer is simple: have the Monster's chain hill have sensors to where the Beast is on its first hill. The sensors would speed or slow Monster down to get the timing right. (Kind of like Dragon Battle.) It would be an awesome combo.

Another key would be making the Monster different than Beast. I'd make both terrain based but give the Monster more air time. That's my 5ยข.

They have about a hundred acres that was the Wild Animal Safari that they can develop. Most of the other land was on the other side of the highway part of the Jack Nicholas Golf Center and ATP tennis Facillity. IDK if CF owns that anymore.

Back in the KECO/Taft days there were several parties involved in the ownership. From Taft/Linder/Coke and others, The campground was a separate Jellystone resort but the Hotel was owned by that group as well as the Golf Course/ATP When Paramount bought it, They bought the whole works from all parties including the campground. They sold the Kings Island Inn and built a Cinema next to it in the later years. Also Great Wolf bought the campground.

There is a bit more property behind the park that goes down to the river (Behind Beast Helix) But its' way out there and some more in and around the waterpark that is hindered by a electrical sub station. The rest is about a 7 acre site on the south end of the parking lot that is sometimes used as uber overflow parking.

Oh and a Graveyard on the north end of the parking lot. So yeah, They got about a hundred acres to work with if they need too from Great Wolf to the Dino Area.

Matt stated in the interview that there are currently no other B&M wing coasters slated for any Cedar Fair parks, but that doesn't necessarily mean that Canada's Wonderland will not get one sometime in the future.

Got this off Coasterforce YouTube video interview with CEO Matt Ouimet. So we can safely rule out wingrider for Kings Island.

B&M Giga, it is then.

Fixed that for you.

SFGAdv is claiming they're at 510 acres now with the combined Safari and main park. Wikipedia says that total area owned is 2200 acres, which I've always seen cited as the biggest amount of owned land.

Of course, WDW is over 30,000 acres so it really depends on how and what you're measuring.

Except 70 percent of SFGADV's land is declared wetlands and is unavailable for construction.

It would be fantastic if Kings Island put in a B&M Giga, but I'd definitely prefer an Intamin one like I305.

*chuckling*

I like me a good B&M Inverted -- my highest ranked inverted I ever rode is Afterburn and Raptor. Haven't been on the higher ranked ones yet -- BUT I'd choose a B&M Giga over Inverted if the ride has V seating formation and IMPROVED track layout over Leviathan.

Let's hope B&M learned a couple of lessons from Leviathan and will apply these towards Banshee.

Ugh. No thank you.

If we're going Intamin, what about one of those Intamin Mega coasters like Expidition GeForce - which people have consistently raved about for over a decade now.

I don't think I've ever heard anyone say a bad thing about that ride.

If we're not doing the B&M Inverted, the Intamin Mega Coaster would be my second choice. If they end up going Giga, I'd rather see something closer to Millennium Force than I305.

The B&M Giga just seems like an odd choice. I know they did it in Canada, but with KI already having Diamondback...well, I think there are better choices.

I suspect a few of you are going to be sorely disappointed when you find out that you are wrong.

...Wait a minute. Marvin Miller only has a few posts, and he is trying to convince us, unsuccessfully I might add, that the coaster is not going to be an inverted. Who are you, Marvin? ;)

That coaster in your picture was clearly a red and black X2 type coaster wasn't it Travis?

One could dream. X2 is the stuff of legends.

I'm suprised there isn't many rides like x2. It's theme park genius.

One could only dream, Charles...

Wait a minute. You live near the park. You seem to have connections at the park. Do you know something the rest of us don't? I actually wouldn't mind an X2 style coaster, however, Didn't S&S Arrow just go out of business? Are they still even making those any more?

...asia has got a few recently.
