Actually in one of their conference calls they mentioned that all new rides are scheduled to be open by Memorial Day. In which case, they have plenty of time. No big deal, Id rather them take the extra time to work out any bugs before the ride opens then have to hear everyone complain every time the ride breaks down while it's operating.
Patience, young coaster enthusiasts. Don't get so worked up over something as small as a new ride opening a little later than expected. There is a lot more to life. Play some video games, go outside and enjoy a bike ride, get a girl/boyfriend to kiss and hug, serve some soup at the local homeless shelter, become a Big Brother or Big Sister (well, some of you might want to become a little instesd :) ), but find SOMETHING to take coasters off of your mind for a little while if it means bellyaching over something so small.
(Rolls eyes and shrugs.)
Due to the fact that I just got an e-mail from the park saying "See you April 21" after I won 2 tickets to media day.. and that was YESTERDAY 4/16/05 *** Edited 4/17/2005 12:43:04 PM UTC by Earnhardt2***

Well, here's your answer. It isn't opening any sooner. It straight up needs plenty more testing, ride supervisors need training, and they really want to impress NJ.
Sorry if you can't ride it April 23. I guess it'll just be May 1.

My guess this has more to do with Intamin and/or the State of New Jersey.
Ordinarily, based on the other Intamin rockets, I'd put it on them for the delay. But after seeing what Clementon went thru just last year, it would be unfair to place ALL the blame on the manufacturer...Jersey is one of those places that are just NOT "park-friendly"...

Congrats. I figured you were the same "earnhardt". Enjoy your front seat ride! ;)
Who in the world is Hank Freeman?!?! He beat me out of every auction I was involved in. I was willing to spend $800 but he had 9 different auctions going and I'm pretty sure his max was up near $1000 for every one. In the end he won ALL 9!!!!!
Oh, if you need any help filling one of those "friend" spots...let me know ;)
:P

Any delay in the opening of any ride should be absolutely unacceptable, but the amusement world operates differently than the rest. I guess you could make the excuse of a short period of time in which to work, but come on, they saw what happened with TTD, and they didn't still start the project until later than CP did.

Thanks
I don't know who hank is.... but I had a friend watching the final bidding for me, I couldn't be there! But she told me about what he did... lol that sucks sorry man
And since the media day event got moved back I may have an open spot... lol I let you know ;)
Between the accidental deaths and unreliability of their rides in recent years, I have no idea how they continue to operate or how parks continue to buy product from them. It defies logic. Try delivering something that doesn't work for $25 million in any other industry and see how long you last.

B&M not push the envelope? Again...wrong. Iron Wolf and Batman The Ride pushed the envelope more that most coasters by any other company...especially Batman. It shocked everyone.
