Naming a new ride is an excrutiating process for us that takes nearly forever. We go in a thousand different directions and slowly work our way to a name over the course of many weeks.

No need to suggest other names, though -- we're sticking with The Voyage. :)

ROFL! Now I understand how it is.... after *so much discussion* ;) Someone suggested "The Voyage" and it was met with ALL the approval of the watch yelling "Land Ho!"....:)

A section like Thanksgiving does have very limited oppertunities for a coaster name. Giving the limitations I think "The Voyage" was a good choice. The Mayflower name needs to be saved for a swinging ship ride so it was a good thing they didn't name the new woodie the Mayflower.

I'm not complaining about the name. Hey, they could have named it Superman: The Voyage, Batman: The Voyage, Vortex, Top Gun: The Voyage Coaster, Cyclone, Dip the Dips, or something else unoriginal.

The Voyage name has really grown on me. Epic name for an epic coaster!

QUESTION: Are they going to move the Indian Canoes to Thanksgiving?

I think they would fit the theme better there and it would give that section (Thanksgiving) another ride. They could always put something else where the Canoes are currently.

I figured, but I think it would make more sense for it to be moved to that section - it's not that difficult to move those types of rides you know. You might mention it to the others as I think that would be a great idea.

Swoosh, There is only so much they can do at once, Im sure your suggestion could be put in effect in the future. Basically what they are doing is building a whole small amusement park in itself in one off season.

Give it time, It may or something simular may happen.

Chuck, suggesting something resembleing Plymouth Rock, Ride or theme in there in the future :)

How about a larger vesion of the Indian canoes like the one PKI used to have or a flume ride themed to that? This is a suggestion a few years in the future not for 2006.
