Well, Jason is from "Jason and the Argonauts", and I got Hammond from my dad.

As for me, my last name is Hopkins, and my friends called me Hopman back in HS. It just kinda stuck.

Lost Kause was the last band I fronted. We got our name because we said it was a lost cause trying to start a hard rock band in West Virginia, which is home of major hickage.
I reused the name here, because I feel that expressing most of my opinions here is a lost cause. Most people here might say that I am a lost cause. I feel that it just really fits with my attitude.

Not at all! As you stated (correctly) in the Conneaut electric thread, your spelling, grammar, sentence structure, punctuation, etc., have improved dramatically in your time here. You state your case(s) more eloquently, and therefore become more persuasive just for being able to make an argument in a concise and well-worded manner.
You've even become somewhat more disillusioned and bitter...and who doesn't love that? :)
Oh, and back on topic - my member named itself... ;)
You still have Zoidberg.... You ALL have Zoidberg! (V) (;,,;) (V)
"Coasterqueen" was something I started using about 11 or 12 years ago when I first got online.
When I registered here there was already another "coasterqueen" so I just added my initials.

You're really an aligator who loves roller derby?

After the apocalypse there will remain roaches, Cher, and this thread. It's fun to look back - I see there's a lot of names we don't hear from anymore, and the rest of you have aged very gracefully!
RC is for rollercoaster. My real name is Robert, but just about everybody calls me Mac, from my last name, which kind of automatically happens when you are Scot. I belong to a competition dance team and everybody there calls me MacDaddy (something about being the oldest). And that was fine until one day I decided to re-invent myself and insisted that from then on I should only be referred to as M.Diddy. It didn't really catch on with the public, though, and with advise from my numerologist I decided to go back.
But, no need to be confused. For you, my dear friends here at CoasterBuzz, I shall remain, faithfully, RCMAC.
Back in the day, I used to really like the Raven. This was before the Legend PTC switch, and Voyage. Someone called me a Raven-Phile, so I used it.
I really kind of hate it now, but I've had it for like, 8 years, and don't want to start over with a new one.

Which do you hate, the name or the coaster?

Oh, clarification - the name.
The coaster's fine, though IMO, it's the weakest of the 3.
Given how fine all three of those woodies are, 'weakest' isn't really a pejorative.
Edited for spelling.

Do you mean pejorative?
As for me.. I have a yahoo account, which to me is a word some would scream out when excited about something. So I combined that with ridemcoaster to be a tongue and cheek version of "Ridem' Cowboy....Yahooo!"
Silly. But it stuck.

At least with an old thread like this, you keep getting new people to contribute, so it's not like reading the same old same old over and over (like in other old threads that have been resurrected).
Yep. That's what I meant. Thanks for correcting my spelling -- something that happens on the order of once every 5-7 years, may I add. :)

Im glad I was able to be a part of that momentous occasion ;)
If it was a commonly used word I would have let it slide.. (Not as critical as some on simple typos), but when people choose to use more complex words, you have to spell it right to maintain word credibility :)

Absolutely. If I choose to use big words, I can fully expect to be called out on their spelling or misuse....
What sucks is that people will be reading about my typo in 2017, when this thread is resurrected yet again. ;)

My member doesn't have its own name but it does have a mind of its own. ;)
