Welcome back riders, hope you've enjoyed your ride, push down and then pull up on your lap bars and exit to your right, walk down the exit ramp and enjoy the rest of your day here at Paramount's Kings Island.

My comment about 'thinking outside the box' wasn't exactly meant for you but rather an agreement with Shaggy. You are right, there are many things that TR could be, but there are also million things it wont' be. Since you didn't post your name, that is why I asked if you were a "Ms." That wasn't meant to be a flame.
The ride is indeed a world's first. No one will have another one of these next year if I am mistaken. So, yes, technically, nobody has seen this exact ride before.
Charlie,
While there may be people that don't want to see a large flat ride or something similar, there are a lot of people that would love to see it. One of the biggest complaints I have heard from people at the park is they don't have a wammer-jammer flat ride. Personally, I like the flat rides the park has, but I have heard people complain about this in the past.
The park needs to trying something different for a change. Some people may not find that to be very cool, but many others will. I am in no way a fortune teller, but I have a prediction that those that are going to be disapointed with what the ride actually is, are the same people that were 'wanting' something the ride isn't.
Me?
I know whatever Tomb Raider ends up being is going to be an adventure of sorts. I am going into this whole thing with a very open mind, and will most likely enjoy it more due to the fact that I understand that while I may have a solid idea or two about the actual ride, that doesnt' mean much until I am actually on the ride having the experiance.
It's the 'whole package' that counts. Those that dont' want to give that a chance, are not being forced into it. Correct? So for those that think PKI let you down come opening day, try going into the whole next project with an open mind, less expectations, and I am sure you will appreciate it more. It works for me.

But, if it indeed turns out to be a Top Spin-esque attraction, I don't think I'll be any less happy than if it were something else, because I do know many people thoroughly enjoy them and it brings even more variety into the park than before. We've not had a spin and puke ride since... do we actually have a moderately intense spin and puke?
Anyways, I'll definitely enjoy everything outside the box and if Ill have to escape down the chicken chute instead of on the ride vehicle, that will just have to be. I'm guessing PKI won't even have a ride be that dizzying just so everyone can see the great work they've put into the theming. I'm excited! Whatever it may be. I'll be there.
Hey...I brought that full circle...cool!

IMHO the easiest way to understand that comment it to substitute the words "grand scale" for the word "ambitious." The park is not saying Tomb Raider costs more than $40 million, they're saying they're doing something on more of a "grande scale" than when they added the Action Zone. You could also substitute the word "risky" for "ambitious." I have never seen a price tag associated with Tomb Raider but then I'm not following the developments as closely as some.
Hope that makes sense...back to your regularly scheduled debate.
