Hey, I know I've asked this question before, but does anyone know what is beyond the doors in this picture. I mean, what is that big statue that is holding that big picture or whatever of Lara Croft. I know I sound a little stupid but this picture still leaves me a bit confused.
-----------------
By studying the pic, it would make sense to me that Angelina Jolie as Laura Croft will basically set up the storyline of the ride unit. After her instructions/direction, you will then enter the ride unit building through the secret passage.
This is the point in the staging area, where I believe there are two rooms. Basically a group of guests will be led into one of two staging areas in preperation for the ride by a ride attendant. As one group boards/rides, the other is shown the pre-show movie. Just as the first groups ride is done and they are exiting the ride unit, I predict the trap door will open for the next alternate staging area group to enter.
Imagine an "Action Theatre" type pre-show video/movie. I expect it to be very well produced, probably by paramount sudios and the Director of TR himself as well as utilize Ms. Jolie. That, IMO, is one of the major costs of this ride....pre-production.
If I had to compare what I predict the pre-ride portion to be like.... I would say very much like the former Questor at BGW.

Oh and rollergator.........no!!! a Top Spin is a Top Spin. Okay just imagine taking the Vortex and making an exact clone just 10 ft taller. Everything's the same except for speed. Well the spped on this wouldn't even change probably! Just height!
What's the big deal? I don't want the guests at PKI to get "mad" again at the park because they're folish enough to spend millions of dolllars on theming that only is a 1 million dollar ride, for something as big as the parks 30th anniversary! I don't want a Top Spin for the parks sake......I'm not against them in any way.

It's his turn to feast, when you ride the Son of Beast.

But, after watching that FauxFire video, I can see that getting very creatively used on the ride. Could you imagine what an effect it would be if the ride vehicle went completely through a wall of flames like that! That would be amazing, IMO.

Just a quick question. Where did you get the $1, 000, 000 from?
As for the park being "foolish" enough to spend that kind of money on something like themeing and a ride........once again, those people that are going to be "mad" at the park for their latest creation are not realizing what goes into an attraction like this. They have researched this for a looooooong time and found that it would be a great time to install something like Tomb Raider.
Those that are going to be upset with the park seem to be wishing for something instead of taking a step back, looking for the positive aspects of such a attraction, and going into the whole thing with an open mind. If people still get upset with the park about something that minor, then they can always stop going to the park IMO.
I have never understood the whole " If this park doesn't get this........then I am going to be ticked" way of thinking. It simply baffles me to this day.

SORRY to bother all of you again but I was just wondering.... Could this picture possibly be a photo of the exit ramp? I just thought one of you might be interested or something. Anyway I just wondered if it was the exit platform. Probably not, but oh well, worth a shot.:)

As for the exit, we will exit the ride unit building and walk on a path from the very rear of the show building so it is unlikely that we will exit on stairs.
