Hershey Teasing 2008 Attraction

Well, if it were waterpark additions, it probably wouldn't be a bad thing. I talked to a family from my church who went to HP last weekend, and they found The Boardwalk to be too crowded and/or congested.

Really, I heard that one too! ;)

If the Mouse is being moved for an expansion of the Boardwalk, then you might find survey marks in that area too.

Checking around the Derry Township website, I found that HERCO had a case before the Zoning Hearing Board on August 15 (minutes not posted yet), and they are on the agenda for the Planning Commission meeting for September 4. If somebody really really can't wait until October 2, they could try to hunt down the applications or something.

The applications might not have anything to do with the park itself. Could be one of the other properties.

So Hersheypark needs to get its story straight, "we are getting a new coaster, much like storm runner"-stated by a workers boss, whoms name i will not mention.
Seems that we are getting close to figuring it out. Wish their announcement was Monday like Wonderland. I am happy that Hershey is a fan of Intamin. SROS from SFNE is my favorite steel coaster, and I am just hoping that Hershey gets a clone of it. 10/2/07 TRUTH REVEALED! ;)

I believe that is what press releases are for.

^matt., press releases are for getting their story OUT....not "straight". This is one time when out and straight mean almost the same thing. Irony? ;)
Hmmm, that blue swirl used in the teaser does look wave-like, doesn't it? And they already have water pipes in the area of the Western Chute Out, if they needed to use them.

Would they call that much attention to that area of the park to announce that in 10 months, the ride you see over there about 400 feet is going to be located here? If so, the PR/marketing firm's contract should be swirling and dropping faster than a raft in Vortex.

Why say "approximately 10 months?" (that puts the opening date at the end of next June.) And the phrase "Perfect 10?" And the announcement on 10.02.07? Why use periods and not hyphens or slashes? And why say "Truth revealed?" What if we can't handle the truth?

I think the clues point to one of two things-- 1. A Bo Derek theme ride (most people in this room have no idea who I'm talking about-- hint, Bo's a girl), or 2. Hershey is buying Laser from Dorney. :)

RGB, just sitting back and enjoying the wild goose chase.

RatherGoodBear that it pretty much all we can do. Sit back and wait while everyone speculates. ;)
CometRider, are you trying to decieve us by telling us that the Wild Mouse is being moved, why would Hershey make such a big deal about it if thats the only thing going on.

Bolliger/Mabillard for President in '08 NOT Dinn/Summers

Wait... I know! It all makes sense now... several other threads point to this!

Geauga Lake ships Dominator to Dorney and Dorney ships Laser to Geauga Lake

Already having a floorless (Hydra), Dorney then ships Dominator (the coaster, not the drop tower) to Hershey in return for (the rather useless) Roller Soaker.

Hershey then makes a deal with Kennywood and buys the props from Gold Rusher and rethemes the newly acquired Dominator to a gold mine... but all of the miners from the old Kennywood ride will be replaced by animatronic Bo Derecks (the 1980's version)!

"Yes... well... VICTORY IS MINE!"
^ O_O wow... that would be... fun...
^^ And the ride plays "Bolero" the entire way through. Actually... the ride will be themed to "the Women who were married to John Derek" and feature animatronic figures of Ursula Andress (coming out of the Caribbean in Dr. No), Linda Evans (brawling with Joan Collins next to the Carrington family swimming pool) and Bo Derek (on the beach in 10). See, it will be a water ride. ;) Maybe they'll rebuild Lost River.
How about a large classic cuddle up with 10 wheels.

Tom Halterman
I like the way everyone's thinking.... I don't know why it wasn't clear to begin with??!!! lol
Another interesting thing... HP is offering a special price of $115 for season passes through September 30. Wait till October 2 and they'll cost you more.
What if they're building a intamin coaster similar to Caifornia Screamin?

And they could call it Storm Runner.

Hobbes: "What's the point of attaching a number to everything you do?"
Calvin: "If your numbers go up, it means you're having more fun."

^ What a novel idea! I don't think they'd ever do that. Ride would probably suck ;) ;)

Haha no I'm not giving Patrick the finger

seriously...

why would HP expand their Boardwalk section? What they should do is...

1) Put the Western Chute Out slides over by the boardwalk, OR theres some space left over by Storm Runner and back behind the Side Winder?

2) They definitely have enough land to put a new coaster in...Judging...If Its A Intamin Hyper...They should put in around the park...like
"the big one" at Blackpool.

sooo... if they were to build a coaster...it should be a LIM launch like a Schwartzkopf Shuttle Loop like Montezuma's Revenge...Or they can have a B&M Like "Mind Eraser"

But they have to stick with the hard stuff...

just like Knoebels and their Flying Turns...
(they should have kept the Whirlwind)
