Come on, fhqwgads
!

Actually there were plans awhile ago to extend the monorail to go around the Midway America area, but I think they decided not to go through with them due to costs.

Puleeze people...what are some of you thinking?

With Intamin Rocket Coaster #1 still experiencing daily downtime, and IRC #2 also having a lot of problems what park, in their right mind, would order #3?

I don't really care what it is , since there is NO chance i'll be able to visit next year ,or for a while , but what mOOsh , do you suggest that it could be? The rocket idea seems the most appropriate to me , given that layout.

Of course , it could always be a flyer , just look at what the sattelite photo of Great Bear looks like. Wierd.

Pink - of all things the layout resembles an Intamin Rocket is the *last* think I'd think of. The first thing that came to mind when I saw it was a short, custom B&M Flyer with a half-Pretzel and zero-G. That's not so hard to see given Hersheypark's past [think Great Beat].

It's obviously going to be a lot smaller than TTD. By looking at the layout and the amount of space they're working with you can clearly see that. A smaller design is going to have less problems (for the most part). From what *I've* heard, this thing is gonna be higher than 195 ft., and after seeing the layout, it wouldn't suprise me.

The first turn obviously is very sharp, which makes me believe that it'll be a top hat that won't go back in the opposite direction but will just curve 90 degrees.

I'll be able to see the head matinence guy at Hershey on Sunday (he goes to my church) so I'll print out the layout and show it to him to see if he tells me anymore.

I just don't believe that we'll be seeing any new Intiman rocket coasters for a while. They've still got lot's o'bugs to get outta those monsters.

I'll go with my first instinct and say B&M flyer with a lift, drop, pretzel loop and zero g roll.

I say this because I've heard from several people I trust that B&M will be very busy this winter with installs all over the country.

I don't give a crap what it is. I'm just glad to see they won't be removing Trailblazer.

I really can't see that being a coaster. The layout is just way too weird. It could be a thrust air with a crapload of turns, but that Immelman like line really throws me off. I just don't see a Rocket Coaster having Inversions, and Defo. not a thrust air.Unless both want to ruin the top hat or hill with Over-The-Heads. Weird, Weird, Weird.

I seriously doubt a "rocket coaster" .

I'd prolly put my money on a flying coaster, but hey you never know, I could also see this turning out to be a family ride...

(Yes I put the period OUTSIDE)

I AM CANADIAN

i could see a flyer layout like this:

Lift

Diving Drop to the left

Barrel Roll

Half-Pretzel Loop

Roll Over Turn [like on X-Flight, Batwing]

Half Twist

Banked turn into half twist

2 swooping curves

brakes

it could be a great coaster if it was like that...

Thats probably right. That really sharp turn could just be a twisting dive. It makes more sense than a half of a tophat.

Has anyone given thought to it may possibly be an Intamin Junior Hyper. The long straight section after the station is obviously the lifthill or launch track. But how about a lift hill with a drop like Expedition Ge-Force? That is just a thought. This could also be a B&M hybrid of a junior hyper/looper. It can be almost anything right now.

It was my understanding from the recent recaps of the proposal made at the city/town meeting that the new coaster would extend from the Trailblazer area to the Kissing Tower. In this "rendering" (which I am a bit suspicious about) the layout goes nowhere near the Kissing Tower.

I'll wait until the announce. I cite the new coaster layout "renderings" that cropped up here about a year ago featuring Cedar Point's (then) proposed coaster as an example. Do folks here not recall it? I sure do... if you bought into that one Dragster would have been 4 times as long, with about 10 airtime hills. Oy

The truth is always more interesting folks...

I have to agree with Moosh... there is no way that a park like Hershey would order a Rocket Coaster when the only two existing examples of the ride are still unreliable. Hersheypark is one of the most "guest satisfaction above all else" parks out there, and I fail to see why they would take a risk on a coaster concept that could possibly disappoint guests. And now that I see that layout, I would be willing to bet everything I own that it is NOT a Rocket, or any kind of launched coaster, for that matter. I am willing to bet on a meandering B&M Flyer myself, as the layout is too short to be a hyper (even by Phantom's Revenge standards.)

If that layout is even remotely accurate, I doubt it'd be a Rocket. Actually, even if that's NOT the layout, I doubt it'd be a Rocket.

Possibly a B&M flyer, or a "regular" Intamin sitdown looper (which would NOT be a bad thing, at all).

If it IS a rocket with an inversion (or any Intamin sitdown looper), expect Intamin's OTSRs.

I'm with Shaggy on this one, and will wait until August 5.
