Jim
So here's the deal, if you're really interested in what's going on in my world (I'm sure most don't, but I figure I'd explain it since a lot of people put work into this).
At the moment, I'm writing a programming book that will be released probably 1Q2005, and its deadline is 9/1. At the same time I'm re-writing the forums, much of it from scratch. The two projects are both related to the forthcoming release of the next version of ASP.NET.
As you may know if you've been around here for a few years, the forum software is the core foundation for much of the site in terms of membership, track records, content management, etc. The site is due for an overhaul, as the code has gone mostly unchanged for a year and a half. However, I need to get that core finished first.
What that all amounts to is that I don't want to write anything new, even if it is simple, because I don't want to rewrite it in a few months. So I'm not blowing it off, I just want to wait until the time is right.
