And one other thing Lord, arent you supposed to be a moderator for this site? Which means your supposed to police the activity of this sites members. And uphold the Terms of Service that this site puts forth? Last time i checked, "F Me" and bukkake wherent exactly TOS friendly.

Perhaps. But, believe it or not, this isn't the first time the word bukakke has made it into a trip report. The other one wasn't closed either. That sets a bit of a precedent for me. I can only judge on what I've seen happen in the past.

Strike one.

I honestly don't believe the word itself is vulgar. No different than using the word 'porn' or 'boobies' or 'asshole' - all of which are acceptable on broadcast television. Hell, Stern says bukakke on the radio and TV quite a bit. My personal opinion is there's nothing wrong there. It's not my site, however. I'm just the help and it wouldn't be the first time I let something go only to see it closed later.

Strike two.

Even if I did have reservations, another moderator posted in this thread long before me and apparently saw no problem, so I'd back off based on that as well.

Strike three.

On the other count. Last I checked F*** was not an explicitive. In fact, the letter F followed by three asterisks isn't even a word.

Obviously, if every post Nasai made was full of bukakke references and f-bombs, his posts would be gone. But as an established member who has contributed positively to the community as a whole over time, one or two humorous 'pushing the limits' words or comments used to punctuate his feelings about an exceptional ride are going to be allowed to slip by.

Kind of the same reason the president can have people killed, but I can't. He's earned the position and the right. I'm just twisted.

Look, you took a chance and spoke out against the majority. Good for you for thinking for yourself - seriously, I mean that sincerely. The problem is you took that stand against one of the tightest knitted, strongly opinionated little groups of users the site has. They ganged up on you and there was nowhere for you to go. Lick your wounds and choose your battles (or mode of attack) more wisely in the future rather than really freaking out. Granted you started off reasonably enough, but in the end your sounding a bit maniacal and it seems your taking it WAY too personally.

The thread can go two ways from here - back to discussion and 'nudge-nudge' joking about Nasai's pro-SFMM, humorous trip report or we can go in circles another time or two getting personal over petty, meaningless disagreements about a roller coaster and get this closed.

Cut some slack? How would you like your child learning the word "Bukakke" after visiting a website on rollercoasters.

So I shouldn't send them to school in those "Bukakke Rules" T-Shirts tomorrow? ;)

I think its cute that Galvan316 is defending Scream. At least someone likes the ride ;)

In a real thoughtful response, though.... I will say that I agree to disagree. Scream sucked the big one.

It sucks. Big time.

So how exactly does the way Scream sucks the big one Big time help in laying the big german shiezer egg instead of creating the bukakke experience desired?

I think it's cute that Moosh thinks Galvan is cute ;)

Great TR Rob - loved how you summed X up, now I do wanna ride it! Makes a change from the usual, uh, blow by blow accounts you read!

-Jimvy!

ps, I think Scream sucks too ;)
pps, 24 posts to mod the mods - is this a record?

You'll never guess what...I liked Scream! A lot, in fact.

True, it was my first B&M of the season and I have boarded wayyyy better. But to me it felt like, ahhhh. Finally, B&M steel.

Nevertheless, I read Galyans post and wondered why he was acting like a pissed off dinkhead. Then I clicked on his userpic and oh, my. Maybe he isn't acting. Smile much? Even one of these? :)

Seriously. They're rollycoasters. And people typing little words.

'Till you talk bad about waterparks...cuz then I'm beatin' your ass!

NOTE: Severe fecal impaction may render the above words highly debatable.

Wow.

Good Morning, everyone.

I have only one thing to say. I wrote my TR to be funny, and yes........push the envelope a bit. Just a bit. I knew people would say whoa. That's the point. I was surprised it took this long for someone to call me out.

Galvan, I wasn't trying to hurt your feelings. If you looked closely, you would have noticed the smiley face. *sigh* Guess I can't please everyone with the weird references. I hope we can meet in front of dragster someday, hold hands, maybe even break bread, and enjoy our day together. Wouldn't that be nice?

Love,

Rob

Maybe he was upset because he couldn't ride Dragster... ;)

Certain victory.

Galvan: I'm jealous. I spent 6 hours waiting with nasai to ride Dragster and he never ONCE offered to hold my hand or break bread with me!

Break bread? Hold hands?

Just see what happens when you ask nasai to ride Whizzer with you (eh, Frank?)....

Later,
EV

There's some dynamic range between breaking bread/holding hands and b******/f***
But how exactly did this relate to coaster coasting again?

I think people should bash the reputation of SFMM some more so there will be shorter lines when I'm there. There's just way too much positive energy in the air for X. Way too much.

:)

LOL now thats funny!

I just went to MM in December (granted I live in CT). I thought Scream was great- and Silver Bullet was ok- though its not in my top steel, but then again neither is scream. So I'm glad you had fun...

and that comment was hilarious..

I love B&M's coasters, especially the floorless designs. I have no problem with Scream's layout...all considered it should be another outstanding B&M product [and in the reliability department it is!].

The problem many have with Scream -- for those who haven't been following along -- is that from what we can tell the trains do not track well. Either there is a problem with the wheel gauge, the ride constructed poorly, or the steel was fabricated irregularly. I'm not an engineer so I don't know what it is but something is creating an very un-B&M-like ride experience.

I've only experienced this on two other of B&M's coasters: Dominator at Geauga Lake and Batman Dark Knight at SFNE. And lets put this into context: the roughest B&Ms are still light years smoother than most Vekoma, Arrow, and Togo coasters.

So let me make this perfectly clear: my disapointment with Scream comes only from a direct comparison of B&M's other fine coasters. I'd still take it any day over hundreds of other steel coasters.

If someone loves Scream more power to 'em! Go ride it...you'll find me in line for Batman ;)

And I'd be in line for Riddler...the best B&M stand up there is! I wish we had that at SFGAm instead of Wolfie.

And I'd be in line for Viper...which is better than the three B&M's in that park...

Certain victory.

I didn't realize Togo made a coaster that runs close to smooth, Matthew;)

They Live. We Sleep.

the trains do not track well...Batman Dark Knight at SFNE

You must have a much finer sense of "smooth" than I do, because I didn't notice unusual shuffling. I thought the layout left a bit to be desired, especially with S:ROS just down the midway, but still...

Well with BDK it was more an odd vibration/rattle...almost Intamin-ish [think Xcelerator].
