Get off my ass.... Here's my positive SFMM review

Expedia doesn't report airfares from Southwest, Jet Blue, or other discount airlines.

I'd say Alaska or Southwest would be your best bets.

nasai's avatar
I agree with Moosh. Either that, or try Captains Travel. Ask for Effe. She's badass............

OK...so now that you've posted your SFMM review what about Knotts? Huh?
Thanks guys. I checked Southwest and Alaska... they are both expensive right now but I am hoping they will drop. I'll theck into Captains travel.

Any trip report is good when it contains this phrase. (Taken out of context for your pleasure.)

I think I may agree with Playa's "first time" metaphor, though. I rode it for the first time exactly one week before you, and when I got off, I asked my wife "What the f*** was that? Was it good for you? I think I liked it, but WHAT THE F** WAS THAT?"

I haven't laughed that much since I don't know when. Nice paraphrasing, kpjb!!!!!! :):):)

You could be a reporter with that working of words. Now you just have to take out the punctutation and you'll be set. ;)

Me? I'm dishonest, and a dishonest man you can always trust to be dishonest. Honestly. It's the honest ones you want to watch out for, because you can never predict when they're going to do something incredibly... stupid.
I had a great trip to the Mountain in January. X is AMAZING! I was a X virgin and I now rank it my number one steel. I am glad you two a such a positive trip.

Thanks. It was a lot of fun, surprisingly. I was only really expecting to enjoy X a bit, and thought I'd power ride Scream! What a joke. Quite the opposite, obviously, although I didn't power ride X. I don't think I'd want to, given the intense nature of the ride. I would have opted for one more ride in the front, though, to finish my day, if the line weren't so darn long.

No offense but you're on crack. Other than one minor snap coming out of the cobra roll Silver Bullet is ultra-smooth.

Crack? god i wish. Im starting to think that you and the author of this post are the ones on crack.

Frist of all, Silver Bullet sucks because the ride is boring as hell, not because its rough, and even if it was rough i think i can take aride being a little rough, which is the least i can say for some people on this website who seem to crap on every creation that SFMM or Six Flags in general comes up with.

Never the less, i personally loved Scream and hated Silver Bullet. And i could give a crap about what you think about me or the coasters the rides are still kickass.

One more thing, if you cant stand the ride being "rough" then dont ride the friggion thing in the first place. *** Edited 3/9/2005 4:22:25 AM UTC by Galvan316***

Mamoosh said: I've ridden all but three B&M coasters in the USA and Scream is by far the worst-performing. Scream's trains bounce and shuffle their way around the track -- which is odd since B&M's wheel assemblies are spring loaded -- and the cobra roll and flat spins [corks] have a wicked snap that causes one's head to violently hit the OSTR.

Im assuming Iron Wolf is one of the 3 B&M coasters you have yet to ride?

Ill have to agree with Galvan316 here, I found Scream to be very smooth. And how it gets these bad reviews I don't understand. It was my second favorite ride at SFMM just behind X.

Galvan316: What do they have to say? SFMM is heaven on earth, better than any other park on the planet, every single coaster is poetry in steel and the chain is profitable too?

For crying out loud, TR after TR come in talking about the improvements. Even Moosh said he had a good day...of all people. I thought it was kickoff time for, like, the Apocalypse or something.

Sounds like somebody needs some time in a bukakke scene...or at least watching one. Yeesh! Try to relax!

Galvan16, normally I wouldn't respond to this, but.........

I may be on crack (according to you), but you're still an asshole. :)

Sleep well, **** for brains.

Just kidding. I am on crack. :)

In a real thoughtful response, though.... I will say that I agree to disagree. Scream sucked the big one. This is why it's MY TR, and not YOUR TR. I had this experience, and you didn't. That's cool. I only wish I enjoyed Scream, but it was impossible because it's a big ol' piece o' crap. ...and it's NOT smooth. It sucks. Big time. Big time. Can I say it enough. It sucks. Big time.

"This is my TR not yours" how cute.

That has to rank up there with the 37,247 and counting "Your Momma" responses and the ever popular "My dad can beat your dad up" one.

I thought that was over in grammar school. But then again in this day and age nothing seems to amaze me anymore, I mean who would have thought that a man of (according to your profile) nearly 40 years of age can find pride in himself and his life to sit here and call a person 20 years younger them him an asshole.

That takes real talent, talent that is reserved for the Special Olympics and those bukkake movies you rave about so much.

And another thing, i will sleep well tonight knowing that in some distant corner of the United States, there is a person who actually wasted time out of his life to argue with someone half his age. *** Edited 3/9/2005 8:14:33 AM UTC by Galvan316***

You may be half of nasai's age, but he's half our your weight.

So if you are both indeed assholes (and Rob isn't), you are still the bigger asshole!

Funny, I was just thinking I won't sleep nearly as well knowing there's someone out there who gets so worked up over someone else's opinion of a single roller coaster.

The best part is that Nasai raved about X, restaraunt service, Batman, Thrill Shot and even bought a photo. Then Moosh chimed in a few posts later echoing those thoughts.

But you're getting all verklempt over a passing comment about Scream not being all that great?

That's not odd to you?

Truer words have never been spoken.

Telling people in an open forum to "F me"

http://www.coasterbuzz.com/about.htm#TOS

Do these rules apply to everyone or just everyone except a select few? Seems to me that anyone who in a trip report about rollercoasters they have ridden makes refrences to pornographic material shouldnt be allowed to use a certain web sites forum.

Lets not forget who started all this nonsense to begin with....

it sure wasnt me, i just disagreed with someones opinion of SCREAM at SFMM. But instead I was slammed with "crackhead and asshole comments" because i disagreed with a fan favorite on this website. Anywhere else the person at fault i.e the original author of this post would have been banned with no questions asked.

But of course its not viewed that way, because Im just some as one so colorfully put it an "asshole".... yeah lets not forget that the author of this Thread violated pretty much every TOS regulation on this site reguarding vulgar languange and explict content.

But as others before me have pointed out there seems to be some kind of double standard here. Anyother forum on the internet, in which children can view and participate the comments that a particular person said would be grounds for removal instantly.

But in the end its going to look like I started everything, all along the guilty party gets to trash this websites good name and bring to it filthy language and disgusting comments.

All because i disagreed with someones feelings of a rollercoaster.

And one other thing Lord, arent you supposed to be a moderator for this site? Which means your supposed to police the activity of this sites members. And uphold the Terms of Service that this site puts forth? Last time i checked, "F Me" and bukkake wherent exactly TOS friendly. To Review

Double Standard? I think so

Double standard? Sure there is. Almost always is in any subset of society that you disect. Seeing as many people on this board know each other personally, it's easy to see why some people get cut some slack. They're more than just random acquaintances from an internet site.

Nasai, Moosh, Gonch, etc... are what I would term as "in". Not sure where I'm at but I do have a good feeling where you would fall.

I'd hate to see how you react to a truly stressful situation after seeing your responses in this and other posts today.

It's not our fault that the Cubs stink!

Cut some slack? How would you like your child learning the word "Bukakke" after visiting a website on rollercoasters.

Well it's Jeff's site. He made the rules and he can enforce them any way he wants. If he wants to cut some slack, then he can do it because he owns this place.

Although I do believe this thread is doomed to an early death. But not for the reasons you're ranting about.
