Any B&M or Intamin with bad wheels or loose springs will suck and shuffle around a lot. All of the "it was smooth/rough for me" comments don't mean a lot unless you both were on the same train on the same day.

That said, last time I rode The Coaster Formerly Known As Batman Knight Flight, circa 2001, it had square wheels. It was quite a different ride from media day. I assume that these days it's maintained a whole lot better.

Ditto that. Last time I was on BKF at SFWoA, it was getting rough. Something I'd never experienced from a B&M, and haven't since. Last year it was indeed better.

Scream is another story, though. Unless they got a bad batch of wheels or springs with the ride, there's no way any should have worn to make it rough by now.

That being said, I honestly thought Scream was as smooth as any other new B&M. Really. Maybe I was just in a "good" seat, or had a train with unbelievably perfect weight distribution.

I liked Silver Bullet, too.

Am I allowed to like them both?

Well of course, Jeff...that goes without saying [or should, at least].

That would be the TR I was referring to. :)

But, it has to be admitted, the dosis of Bukkake given the amount of words used in that TR is very homeopathic, almost comparable to the famous needle in the haystack - as opposed to the striking use of the word in this TR, where it stands out as a dramatic center piece like a Las Vegas billboard.

stands and applauds

Yeah is Good!
That had to be one of the best trip reports I've ever read. Seriously.

I actually want to finally visit MM now :)

Thanks. Keep your eyes out for Knotts. I realize today, and tomorrow are Solace, so I might post it awhile after those TRs, but I will do it eventually.

I like writing TRs, but the details (which make it) are time consuming to write. These things kill me! :)

I was at sfmm on sunday march 13th. I loved scream. It's one of my fav floorless' . Other floorless' I've been on , Kraken, Medusa (east) batman knightflight and now scream. I didn't think it was rough at all. Riddlers revenge wasn't even that bad. Which Surprized me. Most of the stand-up's I've been on have been very rough.
My brother doesn't read online stuff and hadn't heard anything about Scream. So he visited the park yesterday, rode it, and called me. He said "Um...it there something wrong with Scream? It's SO bumpy!" So, you're not alone Rob!

Maybe they used RCT3 to design the track;)

-Jimvy! (heard the B&M roar from SFMM live by cellphone yesterday - it was torture!)

Your cell phone was doing that too?

My brother also said "no wonder no one else has bought a 4D...it's good but only running about 400ppm". That's about a third to a quarter of what most good rides get!

But S&S has sold a second 4D
Apparently so....I hope they get this one at an acceptable capacity. They probably have a while to straighten it out since this hasn't even been announced by a park yet (supposedly Japanese). Steel Dragon was announced a good year or so before it was built, and Dodonpa was announced well ahead of time as well. I suspect that it will be 06 at the earliest. *** Edited 3/15/2005 12:49:56 AM UTC by Peabody***

AFAIK it opens this year. I'll check with my source at S&S.
Really? I wonder why the park hasn't announced it yet?

Even with the problems X has had, I'm surprised it has taken almost 5 years to open another one. Many people (myself included) sure hoped/thought the 4D would be a craze and there would be a good half dozen in the states by now!

Ooooohhh...Bukkake....

Ohhhhohhh...Bukkake...

Rob, Nice TR, even thru all the crap you've taken for it. I still don't have your phone number, forgot to get it from moosh before I left, but I did take your advise. Both of my X rides were front, outside, and it rocked my sox! Still not my #1, but I'm sure when I sit down and re-rank my coasters, it'll be up there pretty far...
