I hate to actually post some information into this thread where so many people seem to be so easily offended about nothing... but at least part of the target audience might be interested:Gay Day at Busch Gardens Williamsburg: August 17th (Williamsburg, VA)
Gay Night at Paramount's Kings Island: August 30th (Kings Island, OH)
Gay Day at Paramount's Canada's Wonderland: August 31st ( Toronto, ON)
Gay Day at Six Flags Worlds of Adventure: September 14th (Aurora, OH)
Gay Night at Six Flags Magic Mountain: September 27th (Valencia, CA)
Gay Day at Six Flags Over Texas: September 28th (Arlington, TX)
Gay Day at Disney Land: October 5th & 6th (Anaheim, CA)
And yes, there are "gay coaster enthusiasts" organizations out there, if you're interested. Personally, I don't prefer segregation... I think everyone having fun together is the way to go. But whatever works for you! I mean, if you have to put up with too much of the "shut up, keep ti in the closet, it's inappropriate, it's wrong" stuff, I can totally relate to just wanting to avoid it. It can be so tiresome.

Growing up, I found that many opinions seemed negative about it, but after graduation HS, and going to an Art College, I was quickly turned around in any negative opinions I had. While I live my life as a heterosexual, I support as many as I can who are not.
As for the relations of this to a roller coaster site, well it's not much odder than many of the other posts. Just a curious question, that many are not afraid to answer.
"why is that someone who is against homosexuality has a less valid opinion than someone who is not against it? "
Because it's like being against blonde hair. Or against freckles. It's silly. It's meaningless. It's ridiculous. It's bigoted. It's ignorant. Are you against blue eyes? Okay, fine. But it's irrelevent. Blue eyed people shouldn't be discriminated against or denied rights just because you don't like blue eyes.
Homosexauls have always been, and always will be. It's ridiculous to get upset over it. Some people are gay. Most are not. This is the way it always has been, and this is the way it always will be.
Why, because you don't like this topic, should it be censored and deleted? It seems that gay coaster enthusiasts wanting to get together is appropriate on a coaster enthusiast website... just like if a Texan said "hey, anyone else from texas?" Why are you all bent out of shape? And why do you keep reading and posting to this thread if you don't like it so much?
Such topics foster a sense of community for many people. If you don't like them, you don't have to read them or contribute to them. Problem solved!

First of all, nobody here is dicussing being gay except, oddly enough, the straight people. Stop adding noise to the discussion. I'll say it again, if the mere mention of the word "gay" offends you, then why click on the topic. Once aagin, none of you can answer that.
It amazes me, the ignorance. You say this isn't the place to discuss it, yet your adding noise by posting your nonsense. The guy asked a simple question, yet we've know hit page 2, why? Because secrectly, some of you must be curious.

Gay? Yes
Looking for a date? Yes, but not on coasterbuzz or even on the internet. I prefer the old fashioned way of likeing someone before you ask them out on a date.
This whole thing has gotten WAY off topic. The topic wasn't titled "Do you think being a gay coasterbuzzer is wrong?"
I have known all of my life that I was gay. It was a big secret until about 12 years old when I decided to tell a few people close to me. I came out in HS and people were very supprised but supportive. I see it as no big deal; it's just who I am.
I am "straight acting" and almost all of my close friends are straight. They may crack a few gay jokes from time to time but it's all in fun I don't get offended though, I get even.
Some of you see this as a huge-mongous big deal and it's really not. The world is full of people who are different and all of your negitive comments just make me feel sorry for you. God loves you anyway, even though you can hate so passionately.

There are a lot of conservative, closed minded people in the US that have a problem with homosexuality.

I think I may take exception to that. I'm quite conservative but I'm not closed-minded. Perhaps there are some individuals who are closed-minded about conservatives ;-). But this is a roller coaster / amusement park discussion site, so why rumble over conservative or liberal, straight or gay? Let's discuss B&M, Intamin, SFMM anf CP :-D.
For all of you wondering how this ties into coasters. Here's an appropriate Topic.
Gaydays in Orlando.
Has anyone ever been to them or plan to go in the future. I'd really like to know what was your trip like. Are the parks overcrowded because of the special event, and did you get to ride all the 'must-see' attractions? Are getting reservations to stay difficult?
Thanks in advance for any helpful insights.

And one more thing, this gets me everytime, why is that someone who is against homosexuality has a less valid opinion than someone who is not against it? I know this thread didnt call for it, but, helios had to know it was coming. This is a huge religious and political controversy, your gonna tick someone off. who the hell cares about sexual orientation and whether homosexuality is wrong or right, im here to talk about coasters, and everyone just seems to be posting on this topic. please jeff or chitown, delete this and all the other irrelavent topics, like "who are you" topics or "has a ride op ever hit on you" topics, its a waste of space and time.-----------------
I'm sorry to quote this whole thing, but I agree with it. Why does everything have to reduce to a 'are you gay or straight,' 'are you single and hot,' 'age/sex/location' bunch of bunk. Let's get back to coasters and parks! Begone, PC police, begone!!!

sfmm15: I wouldn't care. I would jump in and say `count me in.' I don't know why this would be any different than this thread. Not like being gay is any different from being straight.
Heck, maybe I'll find a hot coaster chick, oh wait I already did. ;)

Wow it took the topic 'Who are you' a full year to get 305 posts. At the rate this one is going we might just do that in one night.
Gee I had no idea there would be this much interest in this thread. (cough, sarcasm, cough)
