Hopefully this doesn't end up like the ugly flame war that happened last time. The moderators had their hands full with that thread. By the way, I'm straight...:)

Add me to the list...out at 15. Only person in my HS that is. The only person that dosen't know is my dad, but he will be finding out soon.

All my friends were totally cool with it, only people that say anything are the seniors...but I could care-less...you get used to it.

Does anyone have a link to that infamous flame-war? I'd like to know what opinions are in the States. Overhere in the Netherlands (the country where everything is allowed) it's totally accepted. Normally it's one of the first things i say when meating people, but till now, NO-ONE has made a problem out of it. Actually, overhere it's cool for straight people to have gay friends haha! I was wondering if any of you has difficulty with in normal day life. I for sure not. I once stood talking at the trainstation with a friend og mine, and i was wearing a bit of extreme clothing (showing lot's of body) when suddenly i heard a group of three people saying to eachother: He MUST be a faggot, look at how he's standing. I replied with: "And damn proud of it!". That's how it works here. :-)

There are a lot of conservative, closed minded people in the US that have a problem with homosexuality.

Hold the PHONE! I am conservative and I have no problems with homosexual people. They are people just like you and me. I could care less about sexual preference. The USA is very closed minded about alot of issues. I hate to say it, because I love the USA.

By the way, lets not get into a war about liberals and conservatives. It' not the reason we are here. Nor is our sexual perference.

Actually, most of the nonsense was removed. I'm straight, but I have quite a few gay friends, there are also quite a few gay buzzers that post here frequently.

My feelings have always been the same. Don't like a topic, stay out of it, and let the moderators decide.

"Escuse me, can you tell me where the heck the Mystery Lodge is"?

I'm straight, and I dont have a problem with Homosexuals but I really don't see what it has to do with roller coasters, lol. Infact my cousin is a lesbian and she is one of the niceest people i've ever known.
I didn't say that all conservatives feel that way...I should have stressed the close-minded part of my post. Sorry for any confusion.

About that thread, there were probably as many posts removed as there were ones left to try keep it from getting out of control.

I honestly have to say that I have been surprised how many gay coaster enthusiasts there are, I don't know why the number is so high, but I have found it to be true.
To add to the number, I am gay and I don't have a problem with being gay. Honestly, from my perspective, if I could be changed to be straight, I would not want to be. I've always known that I was gay (or well, at least different) and never tried to "straighten" myself out. If I started out thinking I was straight, then I might have had some desire to be straight but I have never known what it is like to be straight.
In weird ways, being gay has made me a happier and better person. In the days when I was not out and tried to hide my gayness, I was not really happy with myself because I needed to watch my every move. Now, I can act however I want and don't care what people think. I can also be who I want to be and I feel "freer" in a way.
I am not trying to recruit people to be gay (unless you are an extremely hot guy, jk) or saying that gays are better, but I am just saying that being gay is a major part of my life (and will always be) and I am happy with myself being gay and I am just like all you straight people except for my attraction to people of the same sex.
For all you homophobics, next time you meet a gay person, talk to them, get to know them, see who they are, don't just look at that one aspect of them, you will see how "normal" gay people are.

Yeah, sometimes you meet people who think you've chosen to be gay. Like if i've chosen to have a lifestyle that might be critisized. I actually had a straight life before i discovered i was gay, so i know how it feels to be with and love a girl. For the straight people who didn't allready know: It feels exactly the same between two boys/men. That's also why i'm so glad that overhere, two people who love eachother, no matter what sexe, can marry. I have some gay-friends from the states, and they all said that when they visited Holland, they felt liberated because, for example, if i'm walking with my boyfriend (which i don't have) down the street and i suddenly feel the urge to kiss him and i do so, no one will say a thing about it. How's that in the States?

(i know i'm letting go of the link between gay/rollercoasters, but i just wanna know)

Count me in as gay. Shocking as it may be I'm also a conservative. I've been here on the coasterbuzz for awhile and I do recall the older thread. It got very ugly unfortunately. I hope this one doesn't turn out the same way. Being out and avid coaster rider, 2 Independent things I'm proud to be.

Good luck keeping the thread open.

My sexuality is none of your business you nosey little snot. It's quite rude of you to troll around asking what everyone's sexuality is. I've seen more people slapped inbars for that than anything else. I thought this was a rollercoaster site, not a dating service.
...and it only took under 2 hours...really, I'd think that someone nearly 40 years of age won't post with such bitterness and rudeness...

Reading that post again, I'm shocked...I wonder if those are the types of posts that were deleted the first time around...

Yeah, it is sad that this site has become a dating service for homosexuals. I personally have nothing against gay people other than the fact that homosexuality represents the destruction of the human race. If you disagree with this statement, then you must have failed or at least had trouble with biology. I personally think that this site should not be used to discuss who we like to sleep with. This is a site about roller coasters-not the Dating Game.
No offense, but this is a roller coaster site. If anyone here wants to meet gay people, that is what the personals are for.
I haven't seen any posts asking for people's names, addresses, phone numbers, etc. So how is this a dating service?
