El Toro date?

Does anyone know when El Toro will be opening at Great Adventure? I haven't heard if it's open yet or not. Thanks!

It's not open yet. Most likely (from what we're hearing) it will open not this weekend, but next weekend. I'm not even sure they have all of the trains on the tracks yet. Any answers why?

Haha no I'm not giving Patrick the finger

Oh wow, next weekend was when I was planning to go! Good thing I was going to get the FastLane thing, I've never ridden a ride on its debut weekend before but I imagine the lines are pretty long.

By the headline, I thought I could win a date with El Toro. ;) I would really like to visit SFGadv. Seems like they have an excellent selection of coasters. But alas, so far away from wild & wonderful West Virginia.
I truly hope it's open by June 8th .. that's when I heading over...

According to my email from Six Flags, El Toro will be open for Coaster Celebration on June 17. If its going to open before that, its TBA.

You won't see me coming...

LOL! SF should have had it opened by the park's opening day, but well...you know.

Just checking in to say "Hi" to everyone.

Hi dexter! I hope things are going ok for you on the boat. ;)

We got back from our Great Adventure trip on Tuesday night and I went right back to work so I haven't had time to do a trip report. El Toro looked gorgeous!

Official word from the park from the emails it sent out for people who subscribed for them state that Plaza Del Carnival will be opening today! No one is sure if this means it includes Rolling Thunder seeing as how El Toro still has workers on it and it crosses over Rolling Thunder twice, but hopefully it will be open.

I'll quote what everybody else seems to write on this site whenever a question gets asked. Check other posts. This topic has been discussed a thousand times. ;) *** Edited 5/27/2006 10:50:49 PM UTC by thefatmanoncouch***
Rolling Thunder is indeed open as long as the rest of Plaza de Carnaval. El Toro will be open in 2 weeks.
thefatmanoncouch: When I searched for "toro" nothing came up. Could you please direct me to where this has been discussed before? :\

I'm a little scared as to how short the queue seems to be for this ride. With all the marketing and hyping up of the ride that they are doing, the line seems very short for the amount of people that will be coming to ride this thing. Is it basically just a lack of space to make the line longer? Maybe ther is more of the line that cannot be seen. Speaking of lines, they need to bring back Kingda Ka's old queue! That line was amazing!

^I'm sure the park is ready to extend the queue into the midway if need be.
