Yes... Escape.com is in on it. They're going to be useless.

Escape's ISP is however, as someone mentioned, IntelliSpace, and you can see by their acceptable use policy that this is not acceptable. You can e-mail them at security@intellispace.net.

If you still can't get any satisfaction, their connection is by Global Crossing, who also comes down on spammers. Their abuse line is abuse@gblx.net.

Regardless of who you complain to, be sure to forward complete headers with the e-mail. In Eurora, this is done by pressing the "blah" button to show them, then click forward. I don't remember what it is in Outlook Express, but I'm sure a quick search in the help file will help you out.

Additionally, yes, you can hide your profile on CoasterBuzz by clicking "your account" at the top of the page and choose to hide your info. That's kind of a bummer if someone wants to contact you, but it does keep your goodies out of public view.

DELETED! What time does the water show start?

it would be ashame to have it come to that. I'll be sending the message along with a complaint along to the proper guys. I like having my info available for those close(yeah, like there are any), but if I get anymore of this crap, i'll be hiding it.

BTW, I haven't been on the net this long, I actually just got back on after a while, for those of you who think I spend way too much time on here;)

President, C.R.A.P. (Coaster Rescurers And Preservationists).

Put another tally in the yes column, though they did have my older email address, and name.

I signed up for my new email address and new coasterbuzz account about 4 months ago if that helps at all.

You know... holy cow...

I guess Im one of those victims of dem der culprits.

Who'd have thunk it. I rarely get any e-mail from anyone anywhere anytime... except those of who I specifically subscribed to or Im expecting... and I got nailed too...

But I never knew my name was ";".

Here comes the naive member of TN's opinion:

I honestly do not see them doing something like this. They shoot down any negative comments about CB and don't get caught up in anything else in that sort. I also know that the administrators are very nice and honest guys so I can't believe they would do it.

When I got my e-mail I thought it was one of those sites I register on just to see some pictures of rollercoaster or to be able to download videos. Guess I was wrong.

If any of you ever registered with ThrillRide! when it got its "new look" just a few years ago (before finally shutting down) and just leaving the new Thrillnetwork Boards as a reminder of its existance, then you did in fact sign up. Just a note.

Am I really that shy?

{raises hand} me too .....
I got it, but I MIGHT have signed up at some point after getting my own domain name. Sounds like it went to enough people with addresses that are too new for the provided excuse to hold water, though. Interesting...

I snap flyers.

hey jeff, question about CB. since it seems the guys pulled the emails directly from this site. is the database file that stores all account emails accesible from outsiders somehow, or is it secure?

jeff, why dont you change it up like e-bay did to deal with robots?

Set it so that to contact another user, click their CB user name, type your mesage in the box, and your server sends the e-mail.

or force the user to login every time they want to view another members profile, i doubt this guy could code something that tricky, he is probly useing a program.
