Have to admit though, the Mystery of DejaVu may never be solved (hahaha, I crack myself up). Personally, I think its kind of fun. Its the ride I cannot have kind of like that hot chick that you stare at all the time, but never get the chance to ride :). Day that sucker opens, I'll be there to ride it. Had it been open all year, I doubt I would even care about it. Its a marketing scam by the park. Wait till the end of the year when attendance starts dropping...BAM "Come ride the DejaVu, its new to most of you!"

-Patrick (who never got a complete ride cycle on DejaVu because the one time I got on it, it vallied.)

"Come ride the DejaVu, its new to most of you!"

That just cracks me up. :-)

I wouldnt be surprised if it did open later in the season. 1) It originally opened up in 2001 in October (very late in the season), and had less than a month of operation. 2) In the rollback today it says Z-Force opened to day at the park. If that opened this late, why wouldn't Deja Vu?

And I also have been suspicious as to whether it will get a 4 (directly) across seating. Park employees claim its geeting a whole new train. If its not a whole new seating arrangement they're probably just gonna have improved things on 'em i.e. restrainsts.

Thats MY opinion.

Maybe Deja Vu would be on this list if it would open!

Bottom line, we know that the seating arangement is horrible for capacity on an already low capacity ride. If loading and unloading was made faster then it would help the overall appeal of the ride. Great America COULD be the test subject when it comes to the new trains, it would not surprise me with how long it has been since the ride has opened. It would however be a major overhaul to the train, and would probably cost alot of money. I would say no, its not going to happen, but then again....Where are the trains???
I don't know if they'll change the seating arrangement because that means they'll have to change the station gate/queue arrangement as well.

It just doesn't seem like the kind of trouble that Six Flags wants to go if they don't absolutely have to.

Though, I would LOVE to see some Two-Face style trains on this ride...

If SFOG and SFMM trains didn't get the B&M 4 across style seating I doubt we will.

I-NAR,

Thats a very good point. I never thought of that.

It would be cool if they did 4 across plus the two face seating. So it would be like double the compactiy. the would be alot of strain on the track cause thats like adding another train to an already heavy train.Maybe they are doing that because it looks like there keeping the air gates the same in the station.

I-Nar, why would they need to change the station/gate arrangement? I've only ridden twice but even though the seats were staggered, didn't each "row" have it's own gate?
No, Dave, there was an "A" and a "B" gate for every row...

Thanks redman, my mistake. It's been soooo long since I last rode the thing.

For the seating arrangement, all they would have to do is combine the A & B rows into 1 gate.

For the 2-Faced style trains, it wouldn't double the capacity because the train would need to be almost double the size to accomodate for the legroom in both directions.

And last time I was @ SFMM (July 3rd & July 8th), the train was in pieces on station floor. I remember reading somewhere that SFMM had theirs running good enough (ie: when X was down, Deja Vu was up) and were going to start the rehab when X was up consistantly (like it is now).

Seems to be some sort of bug going around :). Well whatever the problem is, I hope they get it fixed pretty soon. It is either a substantial problem, or they are doing modifications to the ride and or train. Big attractions such as this one don't go down for this long for no reason.
Cough drops won't help, they've got SARS! SARS!

In addition to that, if they were doing a 4 straight accross seating, I think we would be seeing modifications to the loading platform by now.

-considering drinving out there right now just to get a look at it :)
