Deja Vu, when will it open

a ride op inthe q for viper told me that they r opening it on the 4th of july
I doubt it, I was there yesterday and it looked the same when I went there opening weekend. I honestly don't think it will open this year.

There is no such thing as a stupid question, just stupid people.

Since your post is only your second one here, I'll take it easy on you, sfgam142780...But here at Coasterbuzz, we spell words out.

When referring to lines in parks, that is a queue, not q...

When using a conjugate of the verb "be", the word is are, not r.

But as to the content of your post, we have seen posts from people who have heard from ride ops, janitors and even the Lemon Chill Guy that it would open a couple of weeks into the season, then it was Memorial Day.......I am a Missourian at heart...."Show me"... ;)

Well some evidence from another ride op that I find at least somewhat realistic is that there is a DejaVu crew. She told me that the crew has spent the beginning of the season filling in on other rides. I'm willing to bet that the they have been working on the trains, and there is no reason to think that it will not be open at least on the busiest days of the year. My vote is yes, it will be open. It will not have 4-across seating, and may not be any more reliable than before, but it will be open helping the overall capacity of the park.
They had a DejaVu crew in 2000, too, that didn't mean it would opne by a particular date.

All rides at SFGAm have rotations, I don't know precisely what they are, but I have spoken with ride ops there and they work and are certified on, on average, at least 3 rides not including their main ride.

They keep saying its going to open up by July 4th , but I thought any ride that has been down (offseason or broken down all year) have to go through a month of testing or is that just for new rides?
IF Deja Vu's ever reopens, it will have 4 across seating. Those rumors started with SFMM's version, then moved onto SFOG's version and both of those reopened with 4 across seating. I highly doubt ours will be an different.

Really? I wasn't aware that they re-opened with four-across seating. I was under the impression that minor structural changes to the train were the only changes...

they have always had four across seating. Just not straight across, the outside seats are offset. The rumor had been that they would reopen with straight across seating, that obviously did not happen.

NO BLOODY WAY WILL IT BE OPEN 4th OF JULY. I was speaking to a ride op who said plans at the begining of may were to have it open for the fourth of july. But now they are shooting for a late august early september opening. I highly doubt that too as the station stairs are still laying on the side of the maitenence road. Also they are storing boxes on the first platforms of the towers. Another thing is that the removable 3or 4 foot long sections of running rail at the front of the station are no longer in the station.(they take these off to remove the train for "winter") Hopefully it will open this season if not enjoy S:UF.

The way I see it is lets not rush the opening. I think Deja Vu (SFGAm) should stay closed down for the year if it means it being up from beginning to end next year. Still my fave ride at the park and I would love to be able to ride on a day to day basis.

....hmmm, forced to wonder. How many DVs does the CPO park need to keep one operational at all times...??

Mooshie, I was unaware that *that* DV was even ON your track record...;)

If Dawn rides Deja Vu, updates her track record, and posts a trip report, would that be a TR with a TR and a DV on DV....?
