Deja Vu, when will it open

Kings Island removed the bat 2 years after it was built.

The Bat had more structural problems than the Deja Vu triplets. The track was not banked enough and the braking mechanisms were under the cars, not on top.

I think the Deja Vu's are more fixable than the Bat ever could have been.

Even if some of the DV's are open, how long do you honestly think it will last? It is quite obvious that the ride is designed terribly. Vekoma is not having a good time right now between X-Flight, Batwing (which still arent running the way they should be), and the DV's having all of these problems. Completely demoishing the ride obviously is not the best idea, but I think for GAm's sake, they should ship it off to Texas of something. I got a chance to visit this park earlier this week, and just seeing it sit there and looking quite ugly was a down right shame for such a nice park. Just for good business reasons, I feel they should ship it off and put something a bit more worthy in its place. GA is too nice of a park to have a crap ride like that just wasting space, hell even a wild mouse would look better there. GA doesnt deserve what they got, hopefully they can get it up and running...one day...if not, let someone else deal with it!

Correction: the bat didn't have ANY banking. :-)

I was there Memorial Day and I went up to it and noticed much of the paint is wearing away from the support structure. There was no train, but it looked to me that people were in the station looking at something around 1:30. I think GAm had to do what is right. I am sure they know what to do economically (sp?) more than mechanically. If it were to open, I'd give it an opening day in July, and they'd most likely run it until somewhere in the middle of August. Then again, it may not be open at all this season.....

Until the GIB in Georgia opened, I was skeptical about the future of Deja Vu, but now I think we'll see ours up within a month's time.

Anyone have new pictures of the update Deja train?.....
Who knows when it's gonna open. Knowing six flags, "oh it'll be open in a few days ". Then it wont. I still think they should tear it down. But I know they won't. It would cost too much money after they spent that much too build it

Nick, the new train at SFOG looks exactly like the old one.

What exactly happened to the trains at SFoG during the rehab? Did they do something with the restraints or seats?

Ugh... Why is everyone saying that it's not going to open till July? How would you have any clue? A while ago everyone was saying the same about Georgia's DejaVu, and now it's open and (from what it sounds like) running great... For all you know they could be putting trains on the track as we speak. So, maybe GAm just is a little behind in fixing up their trains (which is what it sounds like is going on), that doesn't mean it won't be July until it opens. And stop bringing up the stupid subject of dismantling it and (even stupider) shipping it off to Texas. What would that help? Yeah, because it being in a different location is going to make it work [sarcasm]... And do not tell me it's the weather, because I've seen it flawlessly operate in both extremes of weather (hot and cold). And why does everyone say it looks like crap (aside from the poor touch-up paint)? Even when it's not operating, it looks like an amazing ride! Standing there towering over the path... If it were torn down, you can be sure it would look a lot worse. So, stop making so many outlandish comments on it.

** Start tearing me apart now...

coastercorey- I agree with you and I think it will open VERY soon.

I agree too.It would be the biggest and stupidest waste of money to tear it down or ship it somewhere else. BTW I really dont know much about the ride, but does it blast off or does it pull you up to teh top of the tower and let you go? And,I know this sounds stupid, but Deja Vu only has one train and the track at a time right?

Deja Vu pulls you up the towers, and with it being a shuttle coaster, there is only one train.

Deja Vu is just a prototype rollercoaster like X I dont think they will what I do think is that they will make soming better of it.

So, if Deja Vu is a prototype, then why did they need to build 4 to find out that it has problems. Don't you think they could have found that out with one?

Because all four orders were placed and fulfilled before the first one even started on site construction. They were all built from the exact same plans, therefore they are all 4 prototypes.

So is it true that the Georgia DV was down again all day on Tuesday July 2? At least it ran for three consecutive days. Is that a record?

Another Deja Vu fan here. I think it is a fantastic ride. SFMM's is very relaible, and has not had many mechanical problems at all. A few, but not nearly the same problems as SFoG & SFGAm
