I made a crappy little edit here. Now i made it to what i think it's Shortest possiblity would be. You can see it will be very close to 400ft. My guess is inbetween 400 and 375.

if you look though, where you added the lines, they dont exactly match up anglewise with the ones already in place... they need to be steeper, placing the apex higher... or like he said.. .add about 50 feet
i refer you again to mine (copy and paste):

I'll just argue the grammar, since that statement is too ridiculous in every other way to be argued about.

The CP ride will be taller than S:TE(notice my sig), so the debate about how high Superman goes is irrelavant.
I'll use an old statement of mine, S:TE is 417ft, period, whether it reaches that height or not. Most shuttle coasters do not reach their max height, but that doesn't stop parks from claiming the full height does it? Why should S:TE be any different? That's the whole point of CP's coaster, to get the height record, end of story.

Dweaver - it's 415'.
And I also agree with what you pointed out. It doesn't matter if it doesn't hit the top mark. Shuttle coasters aren't supposed to, or riders will be shoved hard into their seats when the trains hit the bumper at the end of the spike.

Xcellerators tophat or camelback as is the correct name for it, Extends a full one third over the TOWERS.

hmm well its been about 4 minutes... so i guess it's not minutes then
i'm gonna guess days. i dont know why... just a hunch. thanksgiving weekend announcement sounds kinda possible
CHARLES:
what you don't GET- look on virtual midway, you'll find a pic of the tophat top/crown piece.... there's a support connector on it (i also posted the link to that WAY up top this thread... like 5th response or so).
to built a 300ft tower and THEN have another 100+ft freestanding track above that would be ludicrous

Do I have t o remind anyone that Wicked Twister has 100+ feet of unsupported track, and that long portions of track go unsupported on Millennium Force?

Who is to say that a single brace won't extend from the top of the tower to the underside of the apex of the top hat?

that would be wicked. but i dunno im tryin to think of this from an engineering standpoint... winds at 400+ feet are pretty nasty...
i'm not at all sayin it wont be above 400, because i know it will. i'm just sayin however high it goes, the apex is gonna be supported all the way.
NOW, if you notice how the supports are triangling off, i could definetly see how the pieces of track immediately before and after the apex could be wholly unsupported for a very significant distance.
to illustrate (copy and paste):

JD, Look at Intamins Track, It is a flexible structure in itself. There is nothing to say that the supports couldn't be some sort of support from one side of the Camelback to the other.
Chuck, who isn't sure about those curved pieces he seen. Could just be the station turn.
