"But amazon falls is an atlantis(type) ride without theming."

BUT it doesn't have that surprise roller coaster ending that Journey to Atlantis has.

Can you take me higher? (CREED)
I was refering to the fact that Journey to Atlantis is more like KCKC was than Amazon Falls (the boats) KCKC didn`t have the coaster, or the dark ride part or the theming!
I want it all!- a B&M invert, a B&M hyper, a liquid coaster, a ..... I'm starting to sound like that girl on Willy Wonka now. Hehe. :)

Hey koaster king, like I said in my post above...

"What about the pond? Couldent they buid a coaster about the size of mantis there?"

That would be perfect for a B @ M.

Yeah, if its a coaster, I smell a B&M in the works.

hothitz, currently it's a 2 foot deep empty manmade pond. Also, I didn't know you were asking me. Yeah, it would be really cool if they could fit all three there. A dueling sitdown/invert weaving through a water coaster would be excellent. They would be long rides though. Twister coasters. And B&M can do it.

There is no land clearing by KCKC yet, and the access tunnel under the beast track was just put in for this season!

what i meant by not getting to see the access tunnel yet was it wasnt there so i couldnt see it.
Are you talking about the lake that KCKC sits on, or another lake? I just want to clarify cause I wouldnt see PKI building a lake for no reason.

Also, anyone else think that if the Vortex had a lake underneath it would be really cool? Imagine coming inches from the top of the lake during the helix or the drop? Or going into the boomerang element and have the one side all plastic or somehting where you can see the water? It would make the on ride interesting along with the coaster.

No because the antique cars near that lake have been closed for about five years now. there used to be a bridge over that lake that led to the shops right across from what is now WTRA, but they took that out several years ago!
Im goping tmrw so I'll take a look for you all. Hopefully i can see it all on my walkback.`
I don`t know if there is much to see other than the markers in the woods and the access tunnel under The Beast. as far as I know, no land has been cleared and demolition of KCKC has yet to begin!
I bet they could fit a nice b&m in there. Also why havent they used that Les Texis station for five years?

Also I thought it was cool that they give ace members a 50% discount on your tickits at the main gate. Anyway, what do you think? Is there enough room there? *** This post was edited by hothitz on 4/13/2001. ***
I think that PKI has enough room wherever they put it. Thats my decision. Anyway, they own quite a bit of land, so they could put another 25 acre ride and still have plenty left.

Yes they have enough room, but how much of it is good for midways? I don't see the park itself expanding much outside of what they have now. The land is far to unforgiving for midways. What I think we'll see at PKI in the next ten years is a bunch of rides like SOB and TG with mile-long queues or rides like the Beast with long approaches to and from the station. The only other thing I can see happening is building a midway extension from FOF on the other side of the Racer, calling for a move of the wood maintenance buildings.

I have actually been thinking this one over and here would be my approach to the problem.

To expand the action zone, take out about half the que to Top Gun, build a midway underneath the ride, and bingo! The action zone has more room.

As for the rest of the park, it may be trickey. For expanding towards the back, build underneath the structure of the Racer. That would open up the back of the park.

The Rivertown area could be opened up fairly easily, just build along the exit path from WhiteWater Rapids. that ride is put deep into the woods. that way Rivertown could be expanded.

With these 3 areas opened up, PKI could get to the rest of their property.
