I cant wait to see what pki looks like in 20 or 25 years, by then the center of the park (if they expand behind FoF) will be racer or FoF. And if they expand behind rivertown the beast will become the center of the park.

If the beast became the center of the park, lets just hope they keep it surrounded by trees.

By the way, there is a tidbit concerning this matter on the latest Wild Rumors/Random Notes section of www.thrillride.com.

Hey all, I just read thrillride and they clame that the new ride that is going to be constructed, will go thru the beast. That is why they built the opening under the brake run on the beast.

It would be nice if they could put a large ferris wheel near rivertown themed to a mill wheel and put in some paddle boats on the pond near the old time cars...relaxing!

Yes, i miss the old ferris wheel over in Oktoberfest. *sigh*

Yeah. Like mentioned before, there is a lot of room both behind the Racer and back by the Beast. If PKI does it right, then the Beast wont be ruined, but River Town will be new again.

They used to have a ferris wheel? I dont remember a ferris wheel ever at pki.

Oh yeah - they used to have a Ferris Wheel at PKI. In fact, technically they had two. They used to have huge double wheel in Coney Mall. The regular Ferris Wheel used to be in Oktoberfest, if I remember correctly.

The only Ferris wheel type ride I remember pki ever had was a (not sure of name of ride) 3 armed typed Ferris wheel, that used to be next to the racer.

there was the Troika, a double Ferris Wheel designed by Inatamin and was located in Coney Mall by the Racer, where the bunjee trampoline things are now.

I was at PKI today and no demolition work has been done to KCKC and I did not see any cleared trees. (Did not ride the Beast though) My brother claims he saw something purple and yellow by/in one of the maintance buildings while aboard the train, but I didn`t see it. I know someone else reported that on another site. I DID NOT see it so I don`t know!

BTW, I`m sure PKI probably knows what they`re doing for next year `03 and maybe even `04!

How can you go to pki and not ride the legendary beast? Anyway, purple and yellow...hmmmm. Is there anything at pki that is already purple and yellow?

Has PKI ever done anything with the safari monorail property? If I remember correctly, it was behind the Old Coney side of the park.

P.S. Where can I download an updated map of PKI?

The safari monorail property is being used by Son of Beast, Top Gun, and I think Flight of Fear is on the property.

It actually only had two arms and anyway it was Blue and White with each cariage or pod or whatever you want to call it being a different color (red, blue, white, orange, green, yellow etc.) It was next to the rqacer where they put in Flight commander and now the bungee jumpers.

Why did they ever close down the monorail ride?

A worker got killed by a lion when he was feeding the animals. I also heard it got too expensive to maintain.
