contruction at pki
I was just giving a possibility. I dont want them to ruin The Beast more than the next guy. But, I was just giving one of the options for PKI. You never know, they just could do that.
I also wouldnt mind a ride like Journey to Atlantis. I just want PKI to get something that will keep people in the gates. I have been monitoring their webcam when they are open and basically noone was there last weekend.
Something completely offtopic: If I am paying $5 to ride Days of Thunder (go karts) then it better be long, or have about 15 minutes for each car. Unfortuneately, PKI doesnt do any of this. They need more to that ride. Noone on Premier Day was on it. If they lengthened it and kept the price, then more people will ride it. Put some in the frame of SOB.

I think a Tomb Raider themed building would fit in nice next to the beast.Or maybe somewhere along the lines of a Indiana Jones theme, with vines and statuary would be cool.

What they could do is somehow theme the Beast station at least as deep in the jungle (i know people dont want this, but it could be a possibility for PKI) and then the Indiana Jones theme would fit in fine. The Beast goin into the woods would add nice effects too.

But from the looks of the area where the flags are located, it would be impossible to construct a building because of the terrane...its too hilly.

There is no land clearing by KCKC yet, and the access tunnel under the beast track was just put in for this season!
I do not think the Beast should be ruined. They can make the coaster go out towards Water Works. But since there were markers near the Beast station it leads me to believe that either the new access road will be there or that the new ride will be there. however, if it is going to be some sort of building, it can`t go very far into the woods behind KCKC and The Beast before the land drops off into steep ravines!
Also, as far as I know PKI probably won`t anounce untill late summer at the earliest. Unless the demolition of KCKC takes place quickly and construction begins with noticable changes.
Im goin on a hunch: If the ride is a big as Mr. Siebert says it is, KCKC will be cleared almost immediately and construction would start shortly after that. I was also joking about dueling with The Beast. I was not serious. I know as much as one of you. I am not an inside guy. Never worked there, never will! (probabily going to go against that one)

It wouldn't be impossible at all. Modern architecture, and engineering can do most anything. Have you seen the building and homes on the side of Mount Adams?
What are the engineers for? And have you ever seen Tennessee Tornado? Now that's a terrain coaster! Wow!

I was at PKI for opening night and was looking at the area. I beleive we could see a pretty cool coaster in the woods beside the Beast without ruining the effect of the Isolation of the Beast. From what I have seen in the flags and markings this coaster may start somewhere in the woods on the Right side of the Beast....cross maybe under the Beast and emerge somewhere near Vortex before finally doing some things around the pond area and then heading home. This could prove to be quite a coaster, especially if they use the terrain right. The thing that leads me to this is the trees removed near vortex along the trail from the Beast to the vortex. Could see something cross here. This is just speculation but this is shaping up to be an exciting season at PKI. I too would hate to have the Beast isolation desecrated. Although PKI has done this with the Lights at Night.

I guess we`ll just have to wait and see what trick PKi has up their sleeve. Hopefully we`ll like it and the Beast will be the same if not better next year!
I have a gutsy feeling that we'll see a B&M inverted coaster where KCKC is, or a Journey to Atlantis type ride. I'll go with a B&M inverted coaster.;)

I don`t think we`ll see a B&M invert. Especially considering that in the past three years PKI has added 2 inverts! Maybe a Journey to Atlantis ride. I hope PKI does get the B&M it so desperatly needs. At least RiverTown is finally getting the additionit needs. however, since the Wild Thronberry`s River Adventure used to be in river Town but is now in Nick Central, will we see PKi totally retheme river Town?
No, Atlantis is more like a KCKC with a big drop and a dark ride and a coaster. It could really improve the park!
