contruction at pki

The building between Top Gun, Skycoaster, and the ampitheater used to be maintenance for the safari monorail. Now I think it's just another maintenance building/boneyard and home of FoF's fourth train.

Interesting...
I know that clearing behind the turn around of the Racer. I think on Friday that there was a dumpster in it. But, however, I do not feel that its related to a new coaster for 2002. I think that if PKI does build a coaster for 2002 it will stay in RiverTown and go off towards Water Works. BTW, if any one has riden the train they will know that there is a fence in the woods to the left, just past KCKC that wasn`t there last year! When will construction/ demolition begin?
Well, I attended the 1st ace walkback to the beast and good ol Jeff Seibert
was leading the way. He annouced the 2002 attraction as taking the biggest adventure ever.
He hinted at the new attction not being a coaster but more along the lines of spiderman at IOA. He didnt want to play 20 Questions with me but he did say that the new attraction uses electricity. Oh WOW! They all use electricity! But I did see some fresh overturned earth over in the old animal safari clearing, most likely from reptar though. Oh well..... as long as it's something

I don't want the Tomb Raider dark ride! I want a coaster! Oh well. Whatever it is, PKI will make it the best possible.

Why does PKI want to put in another dark ride in addition to Phantom Theater? Maybe, this "dark ride" is one of those new hybrid rides! Part dark ride, part coaster, part water ride. Kind of like journey to Atlantis in, I believe, the Sea World in Florida. But who knows, maybe PKI is building something like that and a thrust air.

Koaster King,
Paramount`s kings island is not located in Kings Mills, Ohio, but rather in Mason Ohio. That changed took place about two or three years ago!
Actually, it still lists itself advetised in the phone book as Kings Mills, Ohio. I thought it was Mason too, but I'll leave it as is. Thanks anyway.

Just a thought: does anyone know for sure that the "access tunnel" underneath the Beast is for automobiles, not coaster trains? Could be a possibility

Actually, I think Kings Mills got annexed into Mason. After all, it's not as though the park got up and moved... :) I suggest that the actual municiparity is Mason, but if you say Kings Mills, everybody knows where you're talking about.

Kind of like how I used to live in Clintonville, which is unmistakably part of Columbus...

Actually, the phantom theater is more less for kids. So an adult dark ride sounds like a good idea.
Who really wants a giant building smack in the middle of Rivertown. I don't want the nice scenery and area to be ruined because of this. I think a coaster or even a water coaster would be a much better idea. The "adventure" park sounds water coastery if you ask me.

If done right though, a building for the dark, hybrid ride could fit very well into the RiverTown theme. Make it look like a mining shaft building or something. However, I`m still hoping for a B&M. PKI fiend, I`ve thought that that access way under the Beast might just be for a coaster train/track. But, you have to remember that there is an access road on the right sideof the Beast, so in all proabability, it will become an access road and not a clearing for track to go through.

Also, food for thought, I think it says a
"thrilling" new adventure on the fence around the former entrance to KCKC. if you ask me, a coaster is adventurous! If you ask anyone at PKI about the 2002 attraction, they`re going to say an adventure because that`s whats in the park map!!
What about a TA2K that runs parallel to the Beast's first hill. Since PKD got one, it makes sense. It might look out of place with the theming though.
If it takes anything away from the Beast or Rivertown, it gets a big fat thumbs down from me.

Agree ravenguy! If I see the new ride anywhere near the Beast on any side, especially beyond the lift, I will be POed.

This is PKI fiend: having trouble with screen names! Wont take one of my email addresses.

anyway, why not have a B&M duel the Beast? You could have the B&M pull up for a loop when the Beast goes into the first tunnel. Might work...

PKI Fiend, how are they going to keep similar speeds? Brake the new ride to death? I don't think so. This would ruin "The Beast Experience".

Lets see, because

1. The Beast is perfect.
2. The whole point of the best is its isolation, and speed.
3. The Beast is perfect.
4. ANything that would mess with the Beast's setting would ruin it.
5. The Beast is perfect.

Ravenguy98 said it best.... dont mess with the greatest coaster ever built. Dont get me wrong, I want a new steel coaster more than anyone. But I think PKI needs to cater to us more to the tune of flat rides and heavily themed attractions(no, adv. express doesnt count). Some to the tune of Escape from Pomeii, Journey to Atlantis or maybe even Rhino Rally would be great for capacity. Dont worry, PKI will still hold up it's tradition of state-of-the-art coasters. Let's just keep our fingers crossed for a Secret Project...;)

Last year when i went to pki in august i also saw some cleared land. I was on vortex going up the lift when i first noticed it, but then i got on the beast and from the second lift hill i got a closer look at it. The land clearing was fairly large but i didnt get to see the acces tunnel under the beasts brake run. But i'll find out when i go to pki on saturday. Ill be asking alot of questions to ride attendants and i will try to get a closer look of the land clearing and probably take some pics of it.
