Congratulations Lord Gonch...

^^^ I'd Call them "VIRGIN".

lata, jeremy

For some reason, a joke containing the words "woodies" and "Twisted Sisters" is coming to mind but I can't phrase it in a PG-rated way!

I just find it hard to believe noone's mentioned the pressed pennies yet...yes, I collect those TOO...

When I die, or more likely go insane and get locked away, the ACE museum/archives are gonna have a field day....and then throw MOST of that *crap* away...ROFL!

Oh man, the pennies!

The kids have those too.

Of course, the beauty part of having kids is that you can put all the blame on them. ;)

OMG Gonch...at first glace I thought you wrote "Oh Man, the penis!"

Only one of my kids has one of those, Moosh.

And I suspect he'll be keeping it when he moves out in 15 years or so. ;)

The park stuff is mine though!

Pennies? Those bring to mind memories of being at rest stops along the NJ Turnpike, not amusement parks!

As for Moosh, you better hold off on filling the rest of those calendar orders for a few days and start drivin'. And I thought that I needed a fix!

LOL Rob. I can't do that. I just got a bunch of orders in today that are being mailed out this afternoon. Gotta stay on top of things [yeah, I know...that was too easy].

For anyone that wears a fanny pack, there should be a special term that applies to nothing else. Especially if that fanny pack is some shade of neon!

OMG, that is too funny, I remember seeing people wearing green and pink ones all the time, oh no I am reliving the 80's.

Skol Vikings
Let's shoot us some deer Joe Joe!!!!

The 80's? I saw a few people wearing them at parks this past summer! I wished it was only in my mind but it wasn't... it was right in front of me.
I'll admit it. I'm guilty of wearing a fanny pack at parks... I really, really hate them, but they're a perfect place to put a camera and not worry about them when riding.
I think the worst thing about the 80s is that they have not aged well. The best thing is all that music that turned into great ska and punk songs but everything else ... wow. 60s are timeless, 70s come and go, the 80s are just ... yea :) (anyone feel old now?)

The 80's (in general) seems to be nothing more than the basis for modern-day entertainment that usually pokes fun at the decade in a tongue-in-cheek sorta way. The Wedding Singer and Grand Theft Auto: Vice City come to mind.

Its called Cargo Pants. Say it with me: "Cargo Pants".

Your local GAP should have them. If not, click here.;)

Oy! No wonder I'm in no real rush to attend enthusiast events :)

Fate is the path of least resistance.

I'm just happy for Gonch...I know my first appearance in ARN&R was one of the highlights (lowlights?) of my *ubergeekdom*...

I guess I'm just one of those that appreciates people wo can, and do, laugh at themselves....you should see me looking in the mirror sometime, now THAT is funny (looking)...

I agree Bill. ;-)

Oh, and I agree with your statement too.......LOL! Only those who don't take themselves seriously can truly appreciate the site.

Gonch, I applaud you my friend! Congrats!!

I never thought about collecting the cups. I did pick up the $5.00 IOA Spiderman cup this past week, it was worth it for the $1.25 refils. I also have a couple other random cups from various parks. I would be willing to give them up (trade maybe?) if anybody wants to add them to their collection.

My wife and I collect magnets of every park we visit. I would like to find a Six Flags WOA magnet. Email or Message me if you have one you could part with.

This topic bring up an idea. It might be cool to have asection of coasterbuzz for a "swap meet" type of forum. Members coould list what they are looking for, or are willing to part with. Obviously, all items would have to be Coaster or Amusement park related. This would be a great perk for 'Buzz Members.

Guess who's back? Back Again? James K's back. Tell a friend.

My girlfriend has a cup at her house, I have a t-shirt or two, an old park ticket, and a few brochures. Since it's not as much as a lot of you...that wouldn't make me an "ubergeek"...so...would it make me an "undergeek"?? LOL

Haha no I'm not giving Patrick the finger

Oh trust me I've tried. My video camera barely fits in a cargo pocket, and when I walk around (or when I'm on a ride) it shakes around and smashes into my knee. Not a very good thing for my knee, or the camera ;)

Once I get a smaller camera we'll be in business. Unfortunately, until that happens, I have no other alternatives... Other than not bringing the camera, Which is not an option. :(

I usually just collect pieces of track, anything over 10 feet is a good find. The challenge is to try and remove it from the coaster before you get caught by security or the coaster train comes screaming towards you. So far I'm 100% unsuccessful in my attempts. My hope is to get a piece of Steel Force from the bottom of the first drop, while the trian is going up the lift hill. What a suprise that ride would turn out to be. lol(just joking, Dorney Park please don't sue me!)

EDIT- Oh yeah, congrats Lord Gonch! Break out the cream soda and tiny sausages. *** Edited 12/3/2004 11:40:57 AM UTC by juggernaut***
