Congratulations Lord Gonch...

People that collect amusement park cups? Huh? Magnets are much better. Cups are just... weird. ;)

Yeah, but then there'd be pictures of my fridge on the web...

...and that'd just be stupid ;)

Depends... pictures of what's on the fridge or pictures of what's in the fridge.

Knowing me, probably both.

Actually, there is pictures of what's in my fridge if you find the Potato Patch Fries in the "real items" feature.

Oh God, I am a total geek!

Gonch=EmGee Xtreme.

Your only redeeming factor now is RCT...

It's a revelation when a coaster enthusiast finally realizes that!

As long as you don't have magnets inside of your fridge, I guess it's not completely creepy ;)

Admitting your a Emgee is the first step in our 12 step program: You know your an Emgee when....

couldn't resist on that one.

If anything the RCT thing makes it even worse, Tekno ;)

Rob - Yeah, but my 'coming out' had to happen in public. It's special time for an enthusiast to realize, then accept, absolute geekdom and I didn't need everyone watching me as it happened. :)

On the plus side, those cups are about the only 'souvenirs' I have lying around. I own a Kraken shirt that I haven't worn in years, I have a few park maps in a drawer somewhere and that's about it.

My kids, however, have on-ride pics, shirts, pennants, countless plushy prizes from games - hell, I gotta go make fun of them!

I'll let you know if they cry. ;)

Considering how much my husband complains about the tupperware breeding in the dark in my cupboards and drawers, I don't dare collect the cups. They generally sit in the backseat of my car for a month or two then get tossed.

I do collect coaster pins, though.

But everyone should be around to watch. That way we can all gather 'round, sing Kum Ba Ya and engage in a nice group hug.

Well I'm at least glad to see that I'm not the only one that has these things sitting around in his cubbards. I don't even know why I get them half the time. I guess if I'm thirsty and the cups cool looking, I go for it. They do take up a lot of space though. Btw, I also have a huge shirt and magnet collection. The geek trifecta is complete!
So the geek trifecta is Cups, Magnets and Shirts? What gets added to that to make a superfecta? Pins? Keychains? Hats?

*Singing* (to the tune of that Urge Overkill cover song in Pulp Fiction):

"Gonch, you'll be an ACE'r...soon

You're such a damn geek, can't count all the ways
We've laughed at you man, and all they can say is
He's an Emgee"

Heh, don't know why I know that, but the parody fits quite nicely...

...it's really funny in my head, at least.

(BTW, no offense to members of ACE, it just fit too perfectly :) )

The superfecta occurs when you carry it all around in a fanny pack, Rob.

Uh oh, now if we're talking about the superfecta, I would have to include postcards, brochures, onride photos, and used park tickets. Allright, I'll cop to all of those except the last one;) I'm not that much of a coaster geek. YET!
Wow Gonch, and at one time I thought you were cool ... *shakes head*

I'll just go back to my rides shotglass collection, framed CP map and artwork of the Steel Phantom now ... does high-class material make you just a "Gee"? ;)

(raises hand just enough for no one to see).

I'm an ubergeek. So freakin sue me.

For anyone that wears a fanny pack, there should be a special term that applies to nothing else. Especially if that fanny pack is some shade of neon!

If we take into account maps, postcards, brochures, shot glasses and onride photos, we're not betting win, place and show... we're betting on the whole damn race!

God, I'm really an emgee then. I have five cups at work alone! (those Deuling Dragon cups make good knick knacks), and a couple of boxes full of other cups from other parks. I have a drawer full of coaster shirts, and enough magnets on my refrigerator to ruin the computer department at Best Buy. Add to that the collection of post cards on my cubicle wall here at work and the two wood coaster calendars I ordered (at the very last moment, I might add) and I go to levels of super -gee

Certain victory.

What do you call someone that has an obscene collection of amusement park publications?

It's not a riddle... it's a genuine question.

Or someone with a collection of obscene amusement park publications?

Closed topic.
