Mean Streak (Though it can be awesome under the right conditions)
1st ride on Millenium Force (Must have been too early: Later in the day, it blew me away)
Raging Bull (The pacing is horrible. I was especially bummed, as the last coaster I had ridden, previous to my first ride on Bull, was Magnum)
Wildcat (I wasn't expecting much: But I got so little, I barely remember it)

Someone needs to start a "coasters that surprised you" thread because a million came to mind thinking about this.

Tales for the L33t
o American Eagle, Six Flags Great America
o Mighty Canadian Minebuster 2002, Canada's Wonderland
o Son of Beast, Kings Island
o Rebel Yell, Kings Dominion
o Silver Comet, Martin's Fantasy Island
On the other hand, coasters that turned out to be way better than I'd hoped for...
o Viper, Six Flags Great America
o Mighty Canadian Minebuster 1999, Canada's Wonderland
o Wild Beast 2002, Canada's Wonderland
o Georgia Cyclone, Six Flags over Georgia
o The Boss, Six Flags over Mid America
o Tornado, Adventureland
Just some examples, some of which demonstrate why you really have to ride coasters before you can know what they're about...
--Dave Althoff, Jr.
-The Beast. It's a complete bore until the double helix.
-Twisted Sisters. It seems to me that CCI concentrated all their efforts into making the rides "duel" at one point mid-ride and forgot to create a good design in the process.
-The Boss. Easily the worst CCI coaster - it's rough and does nothing other than look nice.
-Villain. In 2000 it was fantastic. Every visit since it's been absolutely horrible.
-Lost Coaster. What I thought would be the best new coaster of 2002 became the worst wooden coaster I've *ever* had the displeasure of riding. It needs to fall over.
-Nitro. *yawn* Beautiful location, sleepy and forceless ride.
-X-Flight. I was excited to ride my first flying coaster, and found a rough, bangy, boring piece of junk.
-Magnum. After riding it, I have to wonder how many enthusiasts who keep praising this haven't ridden it since 1990. It's actually laughably bad.
-Nate
-Twisted Twins at SFKK, not what I'd expect from CCI. -Timberwolf at WOF, just didn't do much for me. -S:ROS at SFA, just wasn't as good as its cousins IMO. -Raging Bull at SFGam, My 100th coaster just wasn't hot.

rideman: I've read your TR of AE on your site... And I gotta say, you totally neglected the best part about the ride... AE is all about The Drop! Any positive experiences in the helices are just bonuses.

My one true disappointment was Goliath. So sad, because darn if it isn't beautiful. I guess I have one more. Granted, I have only ridden it twice, but Beast was b.o.r.i.n.g.... BIG time.:(

I have been arrested more than you.
After 121 coasters, only one has disappointed me (PGA's Vortex). That was because it was much more rough than I ever thought it would be.
Magnum "laughably bad?" What the hell is that?

Well, I used to be able to see TTD from my house, then I moved.

1.)The edit button is your friend. ;)
2.) Arrow doesn't make very much money anymore if any, S&S does. ;)

For me though, some dissapointing rides would have to include Son of Beast, Steel Force, and even though it's at my home park...Villain has gotten very rough within the past 2 years.

The Beast: I really can't bash this ride, because I have never been on it at night. Once again, I was simply bored but the final helix is unbelievable.
Great America's wood: While AE and Viper, were OK, they certainly didn't meet the expectations that I heard about them.
Coasters that blew away expectations:
Iron Wolf: Probably my favorite coaster at Geat America, defintely my favortie stand up. Great ride, packed densely.
Wicked Twister: It seemed just like S:UE with a twist, but this ride surprised me with strong forces and a different experience than S:UE.
