Coasters that dissapointed you

A friend and I were discussing whether after all of TTD's hype if some will find it a letdown, and it made me wonder what coasters you were excited to ride and then left with that not so satisfied feeling? Mine would have to be B:DK at SFNE and Viper at SFGadv.
I have had quite a few in the past...here are just a few -

• The Villain, SFWoA

• Desperado, Buffalo Bills Hotel & Casino

• Millennium Force, CP

• Goliath, SFMM

• Gemini, CP

I agree with you on Desparado. I saw it on a coaster video and thought wow what a ride, but it was actually all speed and nothing more. My question is why MF? Is it for the same reason? I ask because although I've never ridden it, I've never heard anybody say it didn't live up to the hype.
I didn't know it was physically possible for Millennium Force to let a rider down. It is my favorite ride (which isn't really saying much) and saw most riders had quite an enjoyable time. However, you are quite entitled to your opinion, and I have no problem with that. Also, I don't think Gemini really had much to live up to; unless of course you are speaking of the time that it opened. In that case, it is a much different thing.

I actually found Gemini to be a lot more fun than I thought it would be. A lot smoother, too.

Anyway, I agree about Goliath.

I would like to add these coasters to the list:

- Mean Streak

- V2

- Raging Wolf Bobs

- Disaster Transport (They can do so much more with this ride, but it is cool in complete darkness)

- Incredible Hulk (The launch was great, but the 2nd half of the ride was pretty boring)

Im cold......

SOB and one other coaster that you might be able to guess by looking at my sig.

All who think Mean Streak needs a match taken to it say I.

I could not agree with you more on DT and Raging Wolf Bobs.

My short list:
Raging Wolf Bobs @ SFWoA
and Mean Streak @ C.P.

Raven at HW. Everyone brags about "Raven Air." Well for being the #1 (how?) wooden coaster, I must have hit it on a bad day. Legend outdoes it a hundred times over. Then again, I could also be spoiled by another certain woodie named Phoenix. ;)

Definately Goliath... I had heard that there weren't many negative g's, but I was surprised to find that, literally, there were none. (Well, not noticable anyway.)

X sort of did too - it isn't a bad ride, just short and a little rough. I rode it in early March of this year, so read into that what you will. Maybe it was just all the anticipation.

I've heard about Hulk being a little boring through the second half, but, having ridden Hulk a whole ton, I just can't agree with you. Sure, it lacks the strong positive forces of Goliath (tee hee), but it is a pretty unique B&M the whole way through, and the brake-drop in the back is really spectacular for an OTSRed coaster.

Who hasn't rode phoenix. Heck there are a couple thousand people at PPP every year.

Phoenix didn't live up to my hype the first time I rode it. When I came back for PPP this fall and rode it it blew me away.

One of my collective group of numbers ones

Knoebel's pair of woodies, HW's pair, ST, Cornball, and my Maggie

Below Expectation:

Mantis, Chang, Raptor, Hoosier Hurricane, Twisted Sisters, and Magnum XL-200.

Above Expectation:

Wildfire, Mean Streak (I'd heard it was bad and I musta ridden it at a good time), Dania Beech Hurricane, LoCoSuMo, and Thunder Run.

Sometimes I wonder whether Vekoma would be better off just changing their name...
Never Has Gravity Been So Uplifting.

I'm really surprised about alot of these answers......especially Raven, ST and Chang.
ST is notably moody like Maggie and Phoenix.

Hit it when its on which is 75 percent of the time at it will change your world, the other 25 percent of the time its a great ride but not amazing.

It is definitely worth it!

Titan was fairly disappointing. I was all hyped up about it have watching it be built and everything. Actually, I was just excited, because SFOT was getting another coaster. However after I rode it, I left with the feeling of something missing... I mean, a lot missing. I guess I just overhyped it. I would never wait over 30 minutes for it again.

Am I really that shy?
