I think a combination of the two is what I like. I like the bustling midways, but it is nice to be able to go to a shaded area now and again.

The one thing I hope that CF does is add more shading to KI's queue lines. From what I remember (which may be incorrect) is The Beast and Delirum are about the only shaded queues.

I really can't understand why they have to GUT EVERYTHING expecially in a park with 100 undeveloped acres to build their new SIGNATURE RIDE!

Chuck saying it was the only area with some shade and quiet left.

Sure, KI has a ton of undeveloped land. But is that land actually usable for such things as midway or walkways? From what I can tell from the Beast walkbacks that most of the terrain is rather difficult to manage. Not to mention that much of their unused land has more trees on it than the area around swan lake. So clearing out that land would end up killing more trees than the clearing that they are doing now.

It just seems to me that there is a good possibility that swan lake was drained and cleared out to make a man-made lake for the new attraction. And it was smart that they did. Do you remember the lake under Beast many years ago? There was not much charm in the garbage people threw into it, the smell it created from being virtually stagnant, or the tremendous amount of mosquitos it attracted. If the park makes a lake like the one used for Anaconda at KD or Maverick at CP it has the potential to look rather good.

My apologies in advance if this is a know item, but it seems that it's now 100% official about the Racer (as reported by a Cincinnati news channel):

I bet Dollywood would kill for topography like KI.

Any terrain can be manged with enough dirt, dynamite, or a big-honkin' backhoe. All you need is money!
